Just got back to Adelaide from Bright (Vic) after a holiday and saw so many car collections in the farm paddocks.
Also saw a lot of shitter ef-au foulcans sitting everywhere like trash.
Those are mainly gone from around here now - people realized they were getting a good deal at $100 a tonne! What is sitting around here at the moment is Commodores and Holden utes. There is a VZ sedan around the corner from me been parked on the footpath for months now, a VSIII Holden ute not far away, a VN SS been parked out in the weather for 10 years, a VP SS been sitting for about 3 months now, a VT wagon sitting unregistered for months. The owners obviously think they are worth more than $100 a tonne. I enquired about the VN SS when I still had my HZ Overlander (as an engine donor for the HZ) which I got rid of around 2008 but he was going to fix it. It'd be r00ted by now. The VP SS is still good so i'm going to ask about it - my guess is he'd want 10x what it is worth. Same with the VSIII ute, they want $1500 but it is a $300 car.

lol,was back slammed into my ute in about 2 mins flat, but yeah was frocken heavy.
Have not been game to plug in,i have a faint memory that laying them down was not a good idea, something can stuff up.
The door opens and closes as sweet as an old holden.

Love the car and the fridge!
Makes me jealous to see some of the cool stuff you pick up.
You should be able to plug the fridge in after a couple of hours, just need to wait for the gas to settle, you're not supposed to lay them down at all but its done now.
I hope seal a fridge can help cause that is way cool.

Thanks mate,
Got to be a positive sharing.
Rather than dangling a line all day,and flicking a lure around, like the rest of the blokes i work with, and coming home with an empty wallet from fuel etc,i go scabbing around, found this crap today, thought it was better at my place, rather than getting thrown to tip.
The old pump still works, and old mate is gunna find me the owner manual.

I went to this old fellas house to check out an old drag racing humpy he had for sale.
Flip front, tank fairlane 9 inch, massive ladder bars.
It was pretty rooted but cheap enough at 2k ish.
I didn't buy it. Didn't get pics either,
but got pics of this one that he used to race in the olden days.
It ran in the 12s apparently.
He just parked it in his yard one day and left it.
Runs a HK 10bolt, ladder bars,Toyota 5speed, vacupan, roller rockers, homemade extractors and he ported the head himself too.
This one is not for sale. The bottom of the body is pretty second hand after years in the long grass.

Went to Gunnadah swap meet, found a few items, but car parts have dried up these days.
This is a fella i know at Narrabri,he has a few awesome old Holdens, this one is all original, only had to paint sun visor. Also his restored caravan, one of several he owns.
I,ll slowly upload more pics.

Like so many others that read this thread I'm envious of the treasures you find in your adventures.
I've got a spotter's fee for you if you ever stumble across one of those Sunliner fibreglass caravans for sale - it's just what we're chasing to go with our EH.

Hi Bruce,
I will be keeping an eye open for you,i may even chase up old mate, and see if he would part with one of his extra vans.
I score 2 HQ doors from old mate with the FB wagooon,$25 each, drivers has a bit of rust, but hey they are not making them any more,so i,ll keep with my pile of panels.Scored 2 HD head light surrounds in excellent condition for $5 each and a few other little pieces ,swap meets are drying up with the parts now,i got more than the lot of them put together lol.
More to come

My dad bought a Sunliner style van (I can't remember the brand name, so guessing it was a Sunliner) in the early 70's ... I remember being so envious of all those other kids who had a bogey wheeled Viscount .. but your right, looking back at them now, the Sunliner is way more stylish .... actually after giving it some thought , it may have been a Ply Wood Van we had .... anyway it was little ..... ooops sorry, may have told you all this story for nothing..
