Hi Craig,
Went and saw old mate about the Fairlane,he has front panels and most parts needed to restore car again.I asked if he would sell, another bloke wants to buy it,i said frock him,so if this is your friends old car we can get it,i took heaps of pics,so he can identify it.
Has tubs, the story goes it was near canberra ,i think had a big block and was dragged ,which i thought would be a waste of time, given the weight of the thing. He has an engine there if he wants as well, did not ask a price yet,as i want to make sure its the same car.You showed me a pic some where but i can,t find it.
He said this pointy lens was in the tail light,a mod i take it.

Pointy taillight lens is off a 59 Caddy / King o Fins... Tank fairlane looks like it was "Dragged" from somewhere, Engine maybe 390bb with c4 tranny, Potta sorry to sound like a smart arse as they look similar / same era but that's a Chevy 59 Impala 2dr......

Do you ever see any vintage caravans Craig ?

Hi TBM,
I,ve been looking for a particular type for another member, but it is a hard one to find, there seems to be mostly late 70,s about.Dealers have been snatching them up,posting adds on gumtree, saying "The foxes are about, and my lambs have been getting taken, wanted old caravan,so i can sit and watch my flock" and other corny shit for old caravans.
After looking in shed and finding this cool old bowser, cut a deal with old mate,a carton of xxxx gold and she,s mine.

If you turn this spanner shaped thing, the linkage arm operates the electric motor.Welded some new legs on,the bloody thing weighs a ton.
You can see the linkage arm going down to motor.
I,d like to know what was on this sign ??
Removed the covers, would like to move the numbers, but i don,t think i can.Can someone explain what the bottom row of numbers mean please, where it says "cent per gallon",i,m a bit lost with them.

Thanks Craig
yeah they are getting pricey but for that price you could expect
at least the right colour, sure he wasn't going for academy award.

He was on top of the mountain range, once you cross that and go toward coast, everything becomes dearer !! and the bullshit sales pitch starts.
Anyways, gave the bowser a bogey clean and patch up,time to fill the old monaro, lol.
Bit better than it arrived last friday.
