Thanks guys,

 

Yeah Daryl,its a hard shape to beat,mixed the blue colour 28 years ago as a young fella,did it for my liking.

 

The burning rubber was supervised,you can see the SES 4bee,the local car club was doing sprints over the quarter,i was being a menace ,sure got the crowds coming though.

Actually going into my big shed is going back in time,i,ve been thinking since we had the kids,not much has changed with the cars,the XU-1 has only done less than 2,000klms in the last near 30 years,it was a trailer queen for a long time going to shows,quarter mile sprints,and around a small track in town.The monaro has been abused mechanically,broken lots of gearboxes diffs,and engines and engine components,but the Body is near perfect !! It probably has done about 10,000 miles in 30 years,but punishing miles lol.

It never was in magazines,but got on TV up here for news quiet a lot when i was going mad in it at events,lots of car shows,and newspapers etc,but never an article in a mag,the car is very well known up this way even today,i don,t think its been anywhere for the last 6 years,when i went to a show.

 

I tried to get it back on road a year ago,until my daughter wanted Skylines,i pulled out the methanol engine and put in a petrol 327,that Brian McCosker built,has O ringed block for nitro,s ,has all the good bits in it,should be a good thing one day for a cruiser,but i,ll probably change my mind and want something bigger.

Just had a bit of a look,and your right mate.

I was trying to buy a repo sticker for my bowser,could not find one so i got out a small paint brush and did my best ,lol.

 

Hey Craig, If your'e looking for bits and pieces stickers etc. for old bowers . try this mob  they might be able to help you out.

Since i,m on holidays, i thought i,d have a sniff about,and found this hiding in the shadows,spoke to old mate,and he has other sheds full of cars,and is selling off stuff in February.

 

The back yard and the front yard here is full,and this town i,ve driven through for years,just never thought to look in middle of town.

All good, recently brought a UC hatch after being with out car for two years, Dan GTR bodywork all done off too blaster soon to get don ready for paint in May next year. Still kicking around as always with not really not much happening.. take care
