It could make a real cool cruiser for very little more than elbow grease,at least visually.
Does it run drive and stop?Does it have any trim?

wot,as for driving don,t think so,
old mate" reckons" the engine is not standard, ported head bla bla bla,i thought to myself bullshit, its got a racing chrome rocker cover, with rust.
anyway she still turns over, its been sitting for well over 10years,trim is rooted, but hoodlining is pritty good, floor pans have scattered holes, under rear seat no rust, nil in rear, some rust in bottoms of guards, dash is sitting on front seat, other dash bits are laying about, looks like some peices pinched, then old mate got some bits back from swap meets, front subframe very good.needs a dedicated resto, huge job,but would be a pearler.

New brakes, hotty red and a stick, carpet, woolen car rugs over the seats(not mexican blankets)
Chop the front springs, flip a leaf in the back and go cruisin.
Maybe glue some bourbon cans over the rust holesin the floor...
You could get heaps of fun out of it like that and consider a big resto down the track.
If you say it fast you could have it done in a week.....

Wots going on with the manifold on that LJ???Looks like its been carved just a tad.
twin carby, its just in development for runner lenghts then he is going to make a sheet alloy manifold, the engine runs sweet and launches real nice, the owner has modified the tranz to manual shift, and is very sharp shifting, all round its a VERY good street car,and economical to boot.

It was a quick experiment that only took me 4 hours to make. It turned out ok so now i know it's worthwhile making the effort to build a custom job that looks better. The car has 3.36 gears in the diff and returned 28mpg (10L/100km's) average over the 1300km trip. It ran 13.3 at its very first outing and runs in the mid 12's now the tuning is sorted. The engine is still completely stock internally and runs as smooth as a sewing machine. It also still has a stock convertor. Best V8 conversion I have ever driven in an LC/LJ because it still steers nicely and corners willingly without needing Popeye forearms. I have some vid to post on Utube soon of it running at the drags.Wots going on with the manifold on that LJ???Looks like its been carved just a tad.
Here are some shots of the first manifold and current carby setup. This works well and makes heaps of torque but I was looking for a sronger top end.

on the weekend a very good old mate of mine visited,he was a forman at HOLDEN when monaro,s and torana,s were being made,he had heaps of good stories bout the old days,he talked about the cars going down the lines being built,i brought up about managers at the plant in those days, mainly to do with another thread, how a manager claims to know about what was being done on the floor,he laughed, those guy,s never got dirty shoes, the only time you ever saw one of them was when you had done something exeptional, and you got called to the office that was way over yonder. He talked about Harry Firth, and one of his favorite cars a torana ,i think lc with a super charged 6 moved back into firewall.
anyways he was very excited to see my warrick yellow monaro painted,he has watched the rebuild over the years and enjoyed himself as i did, here are some pics of his ej unrestored car.
