Geat pics Craig, how the xu1 going now.
hi mate,
the xu-1 is running to smooth for my liking, when i bought the car many years ago it came with a few extra camshafts, and it looks like the one in the engine is a pussy,s grind, which is going to be sorted.
i ,m also going to pull the engine as rear main is leaking, which is the best way to do this ,with box or without?

Mate many different opinions on this, but I would either do what I did in my resto and rig up a frame that slots into your front chassi rail and roll out the whole frontend with motor and gearbox or pull the motor out with no gearbox, both ways are a achievable by yourself.

yeah its been a very long time since the xu-1 has been out,and best of all, alot of people enjoyed the car, interestingly from kids to the elderly.
there was only 1 numbers guy, that was only interested in the numbers, and not the car,he wrote everything down, hope he enjoys himself when he gets home
funny thing the monaro,s never attract number freaks,i,ve shown the cars many years ago and its always the xu-1 that attracts the number people, don,t know why.
and 2 pink EK,s they would have been a treat.

the monaro is coming along slowly.i work on it when i feel like it,its a hobby, so i only do it while i,m enjoying it,when it pisses me off i have a break and do something else.
FC,s are a good looking car also, getting harder to find these days laying in paddocks.

saw a pair of EKs on the F3 on the back of truck in the pouring rain..
FB EK Nats was at Sawtell (nears Coffs) on the long weekend. Would have been a bit wet!!
Those cars on the truck would have been some of Steve Jackson's cars. He has an amazing collection of low mileage unrestored cars including a factory one off EK 'Premier'.
Pick of the crop for me would be a fc.... would lllllloveeeeee one of them.
I love my one lots. Owned it for 26 years now :-) Parramatta Road about 1986
