Not much progress to date, almost ready to fire up the engine, just waiting on a couple small items. B&M shifter took nearly four days to sort out & i'm not 100% certain it's right, guess i'll find out soon enough. Also judging by the response i got regarding my post regarding fitting these shifters, no one here has fitted one to a Tri-matic? Still can't locate a factory three pin horn relay, anyone here have one they'd like to sell me? Hopefully i'll fit the new brakes & 9" diff in the next couple of weeks, may throw the guards, bonnet & front apron back on tonight.

If someone can post a pic of a factory 3 pin horn relay,I'll go through one of my boxes of treasure to see what I can see.

I have no idea what one looks like.

Hi Craig, this is the relay i'm after, this one is fitted to my Orchid car.

Somewhere in this car's past it had it's original one replaced with an aftermarket one along with corresponding butchered wiring. I've sorted out the wiring, if you find one in your treasure trove of parts i'll gladly buy it off you. Thanks Matt

Hi Lee.

I was thinking of doing just that, at the moment i'm just keen to get this thing running & hit the strip with it :3gears:

im sure i still have the factory one on the factory loom here also, if LX tory freak cant find one i can go and grab it for ya Matt.

The LH is looking good also, love the K&N filter too, will it sit like your SL/R one out the bonnet ??

Thanks Lee, LX Torry has one he's willing to part with but if you have one you aren't using i'll be happy to fix you up for it, that way if one shits itself i know i've got a spare. I'm guessing that's why the car had an aftermarket one when i got it 'cause the original one failed. I think the filter on this car will sit higher than the one on my SL/R, i really wanted to run a factory filter but it won't clear the bonnet. Even though the engine has a low dual plane manifold, it has a 1" carb spacer & it actually cost the engine power on the dyno removing it, so i'm preppared to deviate slightly from my original plan & run the filter out of the bonnet.

Will have to wait until i have a helper to fit the bonnet, front bumper is stuffed so it'll hit the road sans front bumper for now.

Love the look of the painted late model rocker covers gives the engine that new but old look or something like that.....

I will be fitting the same shifter to a tri-hard in the near future so sound like it wont be so straight forward by the sounds of it.

I will hit the shed this morning Matt and dig out what i have. i dont want anything for it either, just happy to know i can pick ya brain when needed :spoton:

By the way your slight deviation away from the factory filter was a good one, i really like the way you have gone even painting up the EFI covers to match the block like the older style 308's looks great. keep up the good work and pic's coming
