Congratulations Macka. I remember when that car was for sale. Good to see it go to a deserving owner.

As for your oil leak check sump bolts first. The cork gasket may gave dried out from sitting so long.

It's also common for the rocker cover gasket to leak at the back and oil drops from the rear main area.

Party on - another Torana returns to the road :)

Thanks Craig. Has new sump and rocker cover gaskets but yes they were a bit loose so have tightened up. Will have a look at the back of rocker though as l really didn't have a look to see if anything was coming from there.

I think l am all good. Oil filter was leaking and a few sump bolts at the front that l missed were loose. Went for quick squirt before and it went really well. Didn't mean to but rear end stepped out with bugger all effort. Can't wait for dyno tune!!!! Photos to come later tonight of final polish up.

Thankyou. Yes very happy. Very interested to now see what horsepower lies inside this block. Can't now wait for dyno. Thought it was going to be a tired 6 but seems like it might be relatively warm. Car feels great to drive and so small and light given l am used to a HK Monaro. I have never driven an LC/LJ until yesterday. Love it.

Thanks again everyone for comments. Makes all the hard work worth it. Just took it for another quick spin. Got 3 thumbs up by people driving past. Not going to far as l only have permit to drive to get things done at present. Will get roadworthy all sorted once door trims arrive.

That's it for now as going away for holidays and will return the day before local car show where l will put it on it's first display. Should be a good car show so will get heaps of pics of Torana's and post them up. Might have a few more of mine also!!!

Been a while between posts. Have not been able to get roadworthy because door cards are still not here. Got call yesterday from Winner Products to say the chrome trim had arrived from the USA and they have finished them and are being couriered to me now.

So this week when they arrive will get them fitted and the car will be basically finished. Then off to Dyno later in the week for second run. Had new 32mm chokes CNC machined and polished from new 34's. Have put them in and has made a huge difference all ready. So we should be able to finalize tune now and will be very interesting to see what the final output is. Hoping for around 190 to 200 at the wheels based on first Dyno run we did. Remember motor is an unknown.

Then off for roadworthy and then to Vicroads for registration. Can't wait. Been a long time coming!!
