Hi Macka - just mesmerising - your attention to detail is second to none. You are an inspiration. Had an XU-1 replica 4 years ago, sold it for an XY GT replica (stupid man !!). Did enjoy it though, but i am now selling my XY GT replica and will be in search of an LC or LJ 2 door, as you have provided me with the inspiration to head back to my roots. I love everything you have done to yours - REAL TASTE - authentic with mod cons that doesn't make it "cheap" looking. Enjoy. Hope to see you at TORANAFEST in September.

I have been waiting for you to say that!! I have been meaning to play around with it but I think it has more to do with me putting the back seat in. The frames on these Torana's are quite flimsy and I think just need to be taken out and put back in with some more care. Failing that though they will be going back!!

Jesus that's a good looking car.

Thanks Barry looking forward to seeing your car at Bathurst.

Hi Macka...

That is one beautiful looking car mate!!!

I have been watching your build and have gained lots of inspiration from you, you have done an AWESOME job!!!

Great attention to detail and the wheels are just fantastic!!

All there is left to do is enjoy the drives mate.... I took mine out for its first drive in nearly 3 years the other day and you couldn't smack the smile off my face!!! You must be beside yourself!!! Well done!!!!

Thanks for all the positive comments. Yes enjoying the drive. Yesterday was the first time l have really had a decent drive. Did about 100km's all up. Still sorting out bits here and there but as we all now that just goes with the territory.

As I have never owned or driven one of these little cars until l did this one up l would love someone with a lot of LC/LJ knowledge to take it for a spin with me. Would be great for someone to tell me if things like small vibrations, suspension set up, braking and handling is ok, terrible or could be improved. Hopefully at the Bathurst event l am attending l can meet up with some people who would be willing to give me some of their time to go over it and take it for a drive and give me some advice and direction if needed.

Are you cropping those photos in so close? or did you take them that way?

I just take them on my iPhone 4 and then upload into Dropbox. Then via an iPad 3 app I crop them. My wife has a Nikon D3 Digital SLR. I am not into cameras but apparently like a Jzed head in my world. Trying to convince her to let me take it and get some really professional type shots. I need a white background type environment and floor so it picks up the bottom lines of the car where it is black. Have looked around but can't seem to find anything.

I've said it before, but this thing just looks amazing. It might be top ten on the best looking cars in existence for me. It just works.
That being said, I'd throw some black paint on that fuel tank. So 99% perfect at this point. Haha.
