Agree 100% Chris, looking at this car at Bathurst was certainly one of my favourites. The wheels looked awsome and loved the the combo.
Also the quality of the car was outstanding.
Well done you should be proud of it.
cheers

Thanks again everyone for positive comments. I understand that some viewed my LC award a bit contentious given it strays a bit from standard with wheels etc. Also given the quality of more 'original' LC's that were on show. However l was really happy that everyone who spoke to me commented that whilst the wheels weren't standard they looked great. Also thanks to Todd for allowing me to run them. I had new 15 inch steelies made up because Todd said l couldnt go in event otherwise however when he saw the car in real life he said leave them on. Looks like I have some new never used 15 inch steelies for sale!!!

Chris l am sorry we didn't meet up. The weekend was a blur and we seemed constantly on the go. Also taking a 'crew' with me made it more difficult to get around and try putting faces to the forum members. Dane your car is great and well done again on award.

All good Macka, I too had a crew to contend with only mine were a bunch of drunken hillbillies. God we had fun though.

The LC GTR is on display currently at the new RACV Resort in Torquay. Photos are bad because light wasn't right but you get the idea.

This is what the display sign says.

Thanks fellas. It's been there now for about three weeks and they will have it for another four or five. Manager told me yesterday they have had heaps of people coming in to see the car. He said it was very popular with viewers and photographers over the Australia Day long weekend!!!

I haven't been on forum in past 5 months. Life unexpectedly took a turn I wasn't expecting. So it looks like I need to sell the car. Not what I want to do however it must go. I know it's hard without seeing car in the flesh but trying to get idea of what it is worth. I don't have to sell it immediately so am not going to accept low ball offers. Details as follows:

1. Original LC GTR however no VIN plate
2. Non original driveline. 202, triple webers and nine inch rear
3. Paint and interior as per tags which is very rare
4. Ground up restoration 2012
5. Won best LC at the GTR / XU1 On The Mountain at Bathurst in 2012

Cheers Damian

Sorry to hear. I've seen it in the flesh and it is very impressive. Paint is amazing.

Didn't know it had a 9" rear?

Lovely restore, same colour and trim as my 4 door. Maybe I can get the old man to buy it! Haha wishful thinking.
Good luck with everything, you won't need luck to sell this car tho

Surely you would get 30k + for that?  Would have to be one of the nicest LC's I have ever seen.  Good luck mate!
