i have found an lj race car very similar to sagy sarah bloke i brought it of lost log books car has alot of good gear on it but no motor they would not sell it to me they told me it was a 307 chev with lots of money spent on it trying to find out some history about the car

I remember that thing bouncing around on ebay(twice) a few years back,I think was in Newcastle(?) the last time it was on there.

He said the owner won't sell

Someone in your State's Sports Sedan association is likely to know the car/history.

the roll cage in the car has old scruitaneering sticker from simmons plains raced there in the 70s

^ I'm pretty sure CAMS don't keep copies of the car log books, they are suppose to stay with the car.

yeah but surley they'd have a copy of who raced it at some stage?
it would be a start to tracing it's history

the bloke i brought it of name is neville wilson i was told by his younger brother that he went to the race meets with neville and could remember that neville was good mates with larry perkins brock and other famous racers they told me the seat was borrowed of larry and the rims and tyres neville now lives over seas i cant get hold of him
