LC Rear springs

Hi all, can someone tell me how to remove the top plate/rubber thing on the rear springs on an LC 6cyl.
I want to put new springs in, have the pedders ready to install but cant work out how to remove and reuse the top mount from the original springs?

specifically I dont know on an LC but every single other car i have done springs in it just falls off. maybe its stuck on there and needs a bit of levering should fix that

you need to drill out the rivet that holds the plate on(where the upper bolt goes)
you dont need to reuse the rivet
