Hey guys,

I recently purchased a set of Convo Pros for my torana. On the advertisement it said for Ford and Holden (Multi-fit) , but I've heard conflicting information that it won't fit the early Holdens as it is a Commodore stud pattern. I thought I would ask here first before I put them on as safety comes first.

Cheers, Jon

They are ford and chev (same as HQ) pattern. So 4.5 inch PCD for ford and 4.75 inch PCD for chev. Commodore has a metric stud pattern.

Hope that helps.

Great thanks, So I need to convert the torana stud pattern to a hq stud pattern. I've done a bit of research and found out that I can upgrade the front discs using the hopper stopper brake kit and get the studs machined to the hq pattern, but what about the rear drum brakes? What would be the best option without altering the spacing to drastically? It is a 4 door lx torana

thanks in advance, top thread on transforming your brothers UC read it a while back

What diff are you running? If it's a banjo, there's a guy up here (George May at Racecraft) who says he welds the torana stud holes up and then welds a ring around the axle hat to make enough room to drill the HQ PCD. If it's a borg warner/10 bolt/9 inch there will already be enough room on the axle hat to fit the bigger HQ PCD.

I've just scored a 28 spline diff from an EL falcon wagon that I'll cut down to fit into my torrie ute as my rear wheels are 10 inches with only 3.5 inch backspace and I don't think a banjo axle would cope well with that much wheel hanging off it : )
