On the 21st of May, the Victorian Torana Club will be hosting a Mystery Cruise from Frankston.

Meet: Frankston Pier Carpark
Time: 10:30am
Cost: Nothing
Details:
  • Cruise to a Mystery Location
  • Cars leave individually at five-mine intervals
  • Follow directions to the final stop
  • BBQ, Merchandise, Raffle, car display etc will be at Finishing point
  • Open to anyone; bring your friends
  • All prospective members welcomed to come and check us out.
P.S. Cruises are not an oppurtunity to do stupid shit; misbehave and you will pay the consequences.

As usual, we will have the BBQ trailer out with reasonably priced food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Hope to see you there.

Im not sure if you will get many cars along on this one, cos you are holding it on the same day as the 60-80 car clubs one. They are having there annual mystery cruise, and they normally get heaps of cars, from all car clubs attending at there one. I know me and brett are going on theres and many of our other mates also.

good luck with your cruise tho!!

So we all drive seperately?
Do we get a map or something? Or is it a bunch of Left-Rights?

 I thought you never came on VTC Runs? or maybe I just haven't been to any you guys come to. We've got another one later in the year so if this one ain't fantastic, maybe the next one will.

We've also advertised this is a Newspaper or two and we normally get great turnouts when we publisize them, should be good anyway, enjoy your Mystery Cruise.

There's still a chance they're both to the same mystery location?

Rick, from memory it's Left at this road, Right at this road. Or maybe it's "after you see a maccas, turn this way" etc. Can't remember.

And you end up cruising in a few bunches of cars (5 or so each), which is better than sometimes having 30 and then you get problems if you all have to get into one turning lane etc. In the end it's pretty good, and you mix it up as different people get petrol and stuff.

Yes the cars are suppost to be separate, but you bunch up a bit. Remember this is a car rally so you can't have 30 cars at one spot trying to answer a question, remember it is a competition. BTW the run will be approx 1.5 to 2 hours, and bring your camera as the view at the destination is very photogenic.
Hope to see as many of you lot as possible

I will be an availible co-driver for anyone. I have a feeling there might be a demand for people like myself on the day... so it'll cost ya.

hahahaha

And for all of those who do not know, I bought a camera! w00t. I may be able to arrange Morry to come as well if anyone else is desperate :P

I was only stating that there is another mystery cruise on for anyone that didnt know. We dont tend to go on torana club runs, but we tend to go on as many different car events as possible. Many different car clubs attend the 60-80's mystery cruise every year and they get huge turnouts, but who knows this year all the torries will probably decide to go to there own one.

anyways i hope your one is just as succsessful and heaps of fun!!

Well, as some of you may have noticed, I was unable to get there.

Anyone grab photos or wanna tell us about how it went? Weather seemed pretty darn fine up here at least.

I'm yet to talk to anyone who went on this cruise or hear anything about it, but I can think of several members who must have been there... I just haven't been able to see them yet.

If there were photos taken, I will do my best to get my hands on them but I won't make any guaruntees. I at least wanna find out what happened to I can make a bit of a report on the turnout, weather etc.

Unfortunatly the weather wasn't on our side. So the turnout wasn't great, 8 cars in total. superfly GTR (Matt) won the event with Joe in second and RTSGuy (Darren) in third. Didn't go on the event myself as I was busy organising it and I don't have any photos hopefully someone else can fill in from here.

Nice work Julz, do you mind if I steal those photos and use them on the VTC Website?

You're right; that is Indy Orange and I thought it was Lone-Oranger too.

although I sorta did write that myself
