Are we allowed to name and shame conviceted car thieves on here so others can be aware of and dodgy pricks hanging around their area with a proven track record?
I have a name and some photos to post to warn other Brissy residents. The ar$ewise will be out on parole end of June so I am keen to give others a heads up.

I thought it would probably be the case but by law you can't be sued for defamation if it is true as you are not damaging someones reputation, they have done that themselves already.
If I can't do it here, I will go and find a US based website for Aussie enthusiasts ( a couple spring to mind) where the freedom of speech thing actually has some teeth, unlike this no longer free country we live in.
Otherwise, any interrested Brisban - ites can feel free to e-mail me for a quiet chat.

Convicted and no, clearly doesn't know how to steal Toranas as broke every lock on both doors and hatch, still didn't get in, then broke then drivers window and distroyed steering column to point where you would hardly be able to drive it.
Did about $6K damage proving it though.
I'll dig the photos out at home later.
DNA evidence very conclusive - F-wit cut his finger on the bit of steering column shroud that he smashed.

I don't live in Brissy,but these people do travel (probably in stolen cars) so i'm with the majority NAME and SHAME but first get the nod from Mods/Admin in case there are an legal issues.

Nah, That sort of thing doesn't usually make the news - maybe the local rag. I had to keep ringing the cops a fair few times to get updates - I was not even allowed to go to the trial unfortunately - closed hearing.
Asswipe got 5 years but looks like 3.5 years suspended hence parole end June. Unless he re-offends then it gets chucked back on top - knowing our legal system probably still wont do the lot.

Not sure what you mean there, a 3.5 year suspended sentence means he was sentenced but is a free man, if he offends then he has to serve the 3.5 year sentence.

I don't see what a photo of him will do.
You should be alert to anyone acting suspicious around your car/area and if you see the guy walking around your neighbourhood he could be just passing through to wherever he goes that day.
He could be a right ar$ehole and if you taunt him when you see him it may make him want to scratch your car, etc. when you're not looking.
