hi guys hows things its been ages since i've been on here to update you all but after a productive afternoon in the garage i thought id share what i been up to. first off nick if your still interested in the wreckers i went to pm me and ill fill you in on the details. i will say the owner was a little odd and even with the cars just sitting there out in a paddock with grass growing in and over them grathering rust he was still unwilling to cut any good panels from the car, here's some pics anyway, you can see most of the cars are damaged and rusting away.

anyway back to what i been busy with and sad to say its not much. i finally got all the crap off my bonnet and took it back off so i could start some work in the engine bay... and thats about as far as i got. I got under the dash and removed the foot park brake then removed the cable from the firewall, since I intend on using the uc pull up hand brake now i have to sort out what im going to do with that little lump in the fire wall where the cable came through. If you've been reading my thread you'll know i got a welder
about a month ago and ill bet your all dying to know how im doing with it. well i got it all unpacked and set up ready to use and went to plug it in and would'nt you know it, it uses a 15amp cord so now i have to sort out an electrican to wire in a 15amp plug before i can even fire the damn thing up to get some practice in. not wanting to sit around doing nothing i finally decided to bite the bullet and started to cut the rust out from behind the bonnet hinges, a job that ive been a bit nervous about cause if i stuff it up the bonnet wont close but so far i think im going alright... and thats where im up to at the momment. heres some pics of todays effots

Getting there slowly mate, it's hard getting any work done with this Melbourne weather yea??
If you can pass the details of the bloke you picked up the parts from would be good I am chasing some good doors
Because mine are almost falling apart lol

Cheers

hi guys as a lot of you probably have already guessed im not so good with computers and now i cant seem to work out how to post pics ever since i updated photo bucket so for now i have no pics to show off but thats ok as not much has been done to the car lately. i have at long last gone out and got myself a sheet of panel steel but so far the only rust patch ive had a go at making up is for behind the bonnet hinge on the lhs. still have to get a 15 amp power point wired up in the garage but for now i have managed to jam the plug into an extension cord and can use that in the normal power points, i know its not right and i need the proper point wired in but for now it works and i havnt burnt the house down yet. The big news i have to tell you all is sometime mid next year i will be becoming a DAD for the very first time! this car has always been a low budget project but with the coming of a new baby i think this car will be put on hold untill i have the time and funds to do it right. ill still be letting you all know how i go with this project but i cant see it getting much work done on it now till the new year

Great news!!!
Congratulations on the baby coming :)

Don't worry about the torana, it'll always be there waiting for you and if you do decide to get rid of it, you've learnt heaps along the way and still have heaps of value left in all the bits and pieces you've bought for it. (some of which I'd buy haha)

Congrats again :)
