I owned this car from about 1999 until 2004 and used it as a streeter and a drag car. In previous guises it had been a rally car and a daily transport for a church minister. The bloke I sold it to was planning to build it into an XU1 replica but whether he did or not is another story as we lost contact. Would have had a lot of work to do removing all the racing bits in the suspension and interior that I left on board.

It had a few different engine combo's in it when I owned it. An X2 spec 186 was fitted by the previous owner with an M20 behind it, I then fitted a stroked 186 (234ci) and triple 1 3/4in SUs, a 179 with race ported 12 port head, triple 2in SUs and massive solid and finally another 186/192 with TO4 Garret turbo, 650 Holley and big solid. Wish I had more pics, but back then I thought I'd own the car forever and didn't take many.

Anyway, here's some that I do have.

Very early days when she was still a streeter sometime in 2000

Dunno what the factory colour was called, either way it was bloody ugly but having a brown car worked for the sleeper look. The purple was a custom mix we made up when my old man sprayed it. We were gunna do it red and blue two toned, but my girl friend of the time accidentally started mixing the two tins of paint and we went with it.
