If I knew that I wouldn't be asking
Hey Dave
Do you mean the flat metal guard plate attached to the radiator top tank?

Most likely the letter is a D not an O.
D = April
1 = 1971.
7424811 is probably a HG Holden radiator Part No.
HP = ???

Starting with 74 it'll be a pre HT part number, so HD-HK, LC etc.
Definitely not LC or LJ.
If it is pre HT then it must have been a genuine replacement radiator made in '71, not the original factory fitment.

2812450 = LC and LJ 2250 and 2850 Automatic trans
2805208 = LC 2250 Manual and LJ 2250 and 2850 Manual trans

3100X = 2816453
