glacier hi its been under the covers for the last 9 years, the last timewe showed the smp was at the grand prix in 2003 where we took 1st place

it took me almost 2 days to wash the car, clean the engine bay, a quick polish on the mags, and the spider webs under the car

but it was worth it, we run out of time to give it a liquid polish, it looked good on the day

we had plenty of people looking over the car,

regards aldo

Very nice Aldo, you said it has been sitting under the covers for 9 years.

Is that when it was restored?

If so what was the overall condition of the car when you first bought it?

"Cheers"

Alf

Grantly hi we run out of time to give it a liquid polish
my young boy now 15 drove the car off the trailer and into the show
the torana looked exellent on the day, we had many good comments on how it looked, and a few very good offers to sell, but its not for sale
as for trophys we got 1st place in our class
jessie was over the moon when he was presented with the trophy
over all it was a great day, while its now cleaned up my young boy is gonna run it into a few more shows,
regards aldo

2600S hi the SMP xu1 was partly restored in 1998 it was mainly a full inside and out respray, a few minor car park dents other than that the car had never been in an accident and lucky enough the body was rust free so it was a simple resto, the interior was in exellent condition, the engine was freshened up, we took it to many shows and won many trophys the last show before we covered it up was in 2003
where we entered it in the grand prix, and won in its class against all cars pre 1985, so from 2003 to 2011 its been under cover since,
regards aldo

Beautiful car Aldo. Thanks for sharing.

There's something about SMP. I can't put my finger on it but its just a great colour.

I am so jealous that you have enough Toranas that you can leave one under covers for 9 years, give it a wash and win first prize!
