Been looking at the AC fuel pumps I have and the numbers on the side of the pump that meets up to the block.I have 4,on the right hand side they all have the same numbers,(23-3004)then the other side on each one are as follows
3-22 dose this = 22week of 1973
2-3 " " = 3rd week of 1972
8-38 " " = 38 week of 1978
8-17 " " = 17 week of 1978
Can anyone tell if this is right.
cheers Dane

G/day Dane

After all these years I didn't know the AC fuel pumps had a manufacture date code. I should have figured they would as so many other parts are date coded.
I reckon your assumption about the year and week of manufacture would be spot on. In my work I come across components that are coded exactly the same way.

Cheers
Dave.
