Wow, fantastic work Graham.

I'm very impressed (and jealous) with the amount of work you have done in the last month.

Look forward to seeing it in the flesh very soon.

Mick.

Torrie Porn, cars looking great Graham :spoton:
To help with the question about the factory air by Lamo.
It works good, might not be as good as a modern system but on a 40o day, you'll know you have it on & you'll be glad you had it running.

Did you get the interior all re-trimmed? Where did you get it done if so? Hard to get new Golf-Ball Tan trim? I need to get my SS trim done in the future! So this is a great inspiration!

Pics are looking fantastic!! Keep it up!!

Well I like it
My car was identical colour and stripes when I bought my first SS when I was 19 (21 yrs ago)
Mine had a black interior and had been converted to 253 power... later to 308
Sadly stolen Australia Day 1989 and never recovered

When I decided to not put the Chev in my current hatch people told me I was nuts
That driving a 202 auto hatch would be boring as batshit
Well I figured "who cares... I'll have an SS in my driveway and you won't"

I have decided to keep mine after spending a weekend in the shed with the old girl getting her ready to move to a secure place while I'm away
So as boring as some think it might be... the lure of a buyer with cash made me realise I wanted it more than him and his money

So resto is on at a later stage
I don't think I can bear painting it mint julip though.... maybe white... but you never know. Don't see many julip SS's around

Keep up the good work
I'll be watching the progress :)

Thanks to dattoman and all others. im keeping it 202 so my boys can drive it when they are 17 not 25 like the slr. just added some interior shots. windscreens go in on the weekend. seats are a few weeks away and the engine maybe this or the weekend after. then away we go. the old girl still has the genuine spare wheel and tyre.

That interior is identical to mine, it looks so awesome when it looks like new! Did you restore your original interior, carpets, door skins etc or did you buy replacements?

Starting to look real good !!!, a few questions about the carpet, looking at the photos, how did you find the fitment of that boot mat?

Also again looks as though they are still using hj mid brown for the vinyl instead of the original tan, this was pointed out a while ago by a few people on the forum that eastern is using the brown as the tan isnt available.

I have personally sent customers to them in melbourne thinking they had the correct vinyl

The brown and tan is close enough for me, and going by the pics is looks excellent when all put together with the rest of the trim

I like it...going be a real nice car on the road.. few and far between

GML-31 just waiting on a phone call hope by next week

the boot mat is about 95% perfect fit.
the carpet fits very well and does look a little darker. but all the genuine trims were very faded.
just checked some of the genuine tan vinyl thats not faded ( under the seats ) and apart from one piece been new it looks very close to me. just hope cools match the rest. the trimmer i had to fit the vinyls and roof lining etc said what a good job they did. only problem for me was the wait factor. well over 6 months, just lucky i was told of this and had plenty of time.just wish i had the money back then when i ordered the rest of the trim to get the seats at the same time.
