Very nice job on the SS. I'll be buzzing around newcastle soonish in my Torana and I'd love to see this thing in the flesh...

went to cools auto trim in sydney today to pick up the covers. steve the owner met my there this morning. he came in from home to open his shop. a very nice bloke in deed.

the trims look very well done and cheaper then others that ive been quoted. going to get them fitted this week.

after over 12 months of looking a found some genuine mylar mold for my holden screen rubbers. was very happy with that. all the after market ones sold are way different to the genuine stuff.

done a little to the engine bay this afternoon. have had no time since last saturday when i sat the engine on its mounts.

i knew once the kids started their after school stuff i would have no time for the torana. thats why i done as much as i could in january.

I had two complete interiors done by Steve at Cools last week, his work is second to none and he has all the hard to get material. Yes, a vey nice bloke in deed and he has offered to come to my place to put in the hoodlinings and the vinyl on the top of the doors. I went to Toranafest with him and Nutboy and he took a heap of seat covers with him and he got a lot of work out of that.

Good to know there is another mob around that can do great original interiors... I always thought Eastern were the only ones around that did it!

When the time comes to do mine, ill hit you up with a PM for his number!

Cheers

Looks beautiful! So many correct/period touches. Restoration gives it a big edge over street machine.

A great result!

Apologies if you mentioned it earlier on, are you planning on adding twin exhaust tips to the tailpipe? Did all SS 202's have these, or was it an option?

Cheers

It looks like you converted a shipping container into a time machine, went back to the 70's, bought a SS and you have come home with the SS.

Then again, that's the look your going for and you have done it. Well done.

Do you think this car will pass the roadworthy/registration inspection?

(looks too good if you ask me)

Perhaps throw some oil around the engine bay and abit of dirt on the paintwork. Maybe a few lolly wrappers inside and a few cigarette butts as well.

Mick.
