Now, i've been having a lot of issues recently with Australian suppliers of products. I have wasted thousands of dollars buying things which are no where near what they are cracked up to be, and endless hours arguing with the suppliers over this fact.
I had really began to wonder if i was just to fussy, or if the products some of our leading suppliers were handing out were just garbage.
So to be honest i had some reservations forking over nearly a grand to Seatbelt Solutions.
But OMFG, these belts are amazing. My wildest dreams of how good the belts might look have been surpassed.
Upon opening up the package, the first thing i spotted were the buckles. Took them out, they were absolutely beautiful.
Butterflies in my stomach i start undoing more packets, everything looks to be as i ordered and as it should be, some things better than i expected, others far better than i expected.
I figured there had to be a catch somewhere, so start fitting them up. Every single belt fitted perfectly.
I sat in the back seat and adjusted up the rear belts, and for a minute imagined what it would be like to be a kid in 1973, 15 years before i was born, sitting in the back seat of the brand new Torana my parents had just brought adjusting up the belts for the first time.
Then went on to fit the front inertia reels that i specified, Compared to the Klippan ones i had there a world apart. The seat belt solutions ones have a nice cover over the reel so it actually looks tidy, etc etc. Bit of fiddling around and i was sitting in the driver seat with a belt around me for the first time in years, frOck it felt good
After quiet a few dramas with Australian companies that have come highly recommended but failed to live up to expectations, we have finally found one that not only lives up, but surpasses even the fussyest of Torana owners (me).
As soon as the restoration of my HB begins, Seatbelt Solutions will have the job of remaking the belts for that to.
Enough ranting, how about some pikkies?? Yes i know i need to clean the seats properly, havnt vacced them yet.....
To the guys at seatblet solutions, feel free to use my rant and picks on your website if you deem them worthy.
Cheers.

Yeah have to agree, got one belt done as requested by the man at the licensing centre and we were both very happy with the end result.
Will be getting the rest done when funds allow.

Hi all
I have a near original LC 4dr with bucket seat. Front seat belts are ordinary and need refurbishing. I have spoken to Alex at Seat Belt Solutions and I am arranging to send fronts and buckles for refurb and for inertia reels. My question is will the inertia reel fit to existing anchor point without having to go for the option of a relocation bracket (ie clearance behind the seats for the inertia reel). I would prefer to keep the existing anchor point on the B pillar for simplicity and originality.
Alex wasn't sure without seeing the car and the photos I sent didn't clarify, however he wants to ensure that I have no issues when the belts are returned to me. He suggested I talk to anyone who has used his services for inertia reels so he can look up their job card for the best solution.
I am wondering if any of you have installed these reels from SBS in a 4 dr LC or LJ without requiring the relocation kit. My seats are all the way back. I am a bit long legged and need the room. I put a set in my LJ GTR 30 odd years ago The only issue was packing behind the reel to level it up but the seats were different being tilt type for the coupe and may have better clearance. Cant remember. ( I'm so old I fart dust )
Cheers in advance

To clarify, the inertia reel sets I installed n my GTR 30 years back were not from Seat Belt Solutions. I can't even remember where I got them. They were generic from memory and not Torana specific.

I remember going through a well known parts supplier here in Adelaide. Handed over my belts and to them they will be going into a restored Torrie. Anyway on collection I was horrified and asked the question. There are three stages and this is stage one . So why didn't you let me know this when I dropped them off ??. No answer. I phoned the number on the new tags and spoke to the owner. WOW what a nice bloke . I explained the situation in regards to experience with his resellers. He insisted returning these belts at no cost and sent them back to me in exceptional condition. He is from WA and remember him saying it hard to find good quality and he sends his bike parts to Adelaide for chroming . This guy if still in business (as this was maybe 8 years ago) will supply exceptional belts. Can supply phone number if anyone is interested. ps to this supplier in Adelaide . I have known of your poor efforts in customer satisfaction and your excellent efforts in taking there money. Don't tell me that there is no need to polish the bottom parts of the re-swaged bumper bars.

Thanks Tony,
Bomber advised that his seat aren't original. My original buckets go a bit further back so I don't think there will be enough clearance. I am sure I will send originals to SBS and get them to refurbish original sash. She won't be a daily driver and it will be good to have the original buckles
Cheers
