Berro, yeah mate, dash and taillights too!
Dirtbag, I'm gonna have to do it the hard way, I guess......
Like what we were talking about the other day with blanking out the UC hole then cutting new holes for "proper" lights.........
Unless a very helpful forum member has some taillight buckets that they would sell me??
Thanks, Quagmire. Yeah I might PM him and see what he can do.

Great work kush I love what you have done to the engine bay! I wish i had done the UC conversion like you and dirt bag. I did it the long way! Well done mate. Yep another UC-A9x Clone! When these cars are out there any idea what they will be worth in good condition? Keep up the good work.
Awesome work berro! i gotta admit i prefer the way you have gone about the conversion and grafted on the whole front end, dirtbags method turned out great but yours will certainly look more authentic.

I totally agree, but the plus side to the way I did it was I got to keep the nice smooth UC engine bay sides. Apart from that Berro's way is much better : )

It's not much because half of the day was spent trying to line up friggin panels. Why is it that no bloody panel ever just bolts into the correct position???
Oh well, here's some pics........
First up, I had to make this nosecone attach to the UC guards
So I made a cardboard template up of the inner nosecone flange thing and ended up with 2 of these.
I then bolted them to the nosecone and put up on the car.
Then I welded the new metal to the guards.
This is the same type of method that Dirtbag used. It works well
And here it is cleaned up
Well I have 2 more RDO's left so tomorrow I'll get the other side done and find something else to cut up

I want to do away with the plastic surrounds and make them metal surrounds so they mould into the car. (but still be LX taillights)
See? I told ya!
Hawk, I'll get some photos when I do the other side tomorrow.

Here's a cut that I made to lift the outer edge of the guard up to meet the nosecone edge.
Then I did the rest of it (same as what I did yesterday)
And here's a few pics of how it is now
It fits up good and is pretty solid but I'll need to weld a few bolt lugs to the fronts guards so they hug up more firmly at the bottom.
But as far as that goes..........
NOSE CHOP DONE!!!!
Yay!
