Firstly, a huge thanks to rob for getting this day organized.
I can say I know hard it isputting not only your time up, but bottom line is, your name to hire the track, and all the worries that goes along with a commitment like that.
Thank you rob, you did an awesome job mate!
Thanks to all the competitors who came along, but especially:
orange lj, for getting in early and organizing a heap of entrants,
Rob ss hatch - also for organizing a heap of entrants,
Joe - again organizing a great group to get us over the line with the entrants we needed.
I also want to say that today really sorted out those cars who were not 100% (including the HQ!).
We saw some major damage to some cars, broken axles, broken LSD centres, broken header pipes, broken throttle cables, stripped spark plugs and worst of alll the papalia family who's gorgeous Barbados L34 suffered an engine bay fire.
I really hope that the damage is minor and quickly and easily repaired.
Simone and I cooked the gearbox in ours, we basically had a badly slipping third gear and sometimes none most of the day!
I hope that anyone who did suffer damage is able to get back out there with minimal cost and fuss! I hate seeing things go badly!
The rest of the day was fantastic,
The WSID staff were excellent as always, accommodating as possible and the track had some major bite!
Thanks again to everyone who helped out, one thing I noticed was the willingness to help each other out at any time with any thing.
Great bunch of people, and I'm sure the next one will be just as good!
My best time was 11.79@115mph, Simone cranked out an 11.66@116mph first pass!
It was a top day, thanks again, and see ya next time!

and ill say i had a ball just watching the people out there running it was good to see so many smiling faces heading back from their runs.
its allways sad when people have to go home early and frank if you need a hand to get your l34 back on track just organise it and im sure we can all help in some way.
but i had a top day cant wait till next year
and thanks again for your help tiny.

As for thanking me, tiny mate, I did nothing lol, just dragged some mates out! And they will be back next time, with more mates now! Haha.
ran a 16.4 on the first run, loads of wheelspin in every gear. (too much tyre pressure, bit too rev happy lol)
Second run I did a bit of a first gear skid,, which had some vibration, staged and ran with nothing but wheelspin and the car heading left every gear change (bit scary)
Third run was a 24.6, nothing but one wheel wlrth of spin, broken axle explained that, at a guess it was from the burnout earlier.
Soooo, craig a came to the rescue with a spare axle, so we whipped the axles and centre out, was going to put the spare 3.08 single pegger I took in, but forgot the longer frOcking bolts....
So with one fresh axle (owe you a spare now craig

Karlie jumped back in and pulled a 15 flat! I was stoked! She was over the moon!
so with about 15 mins to go I hopped back in and managed a 14.3 at 98mph! With a shit launch and loads dof wheelspin in second.
I reckon if craigs time and mph are anything to go from, its got a mid to high 13 in it.
Will br back next time

Thanks to all who made it happen
Special thanks to rob, tiny and craig a

My guys ran-
Ethan- 15.075 in his 308 powered hq tonnerm some decent single peggers all day! He is overly happy for a daily, with an unknown motor with a supposed 'towing cam'
Mitch in the vz ckubby ran a 12.8 on semi slicks, only .2 off his old vs ss with nitrous, and the clubby is near standard, his missus coralee ran a 14.3 side by side with me, not bad considering it was her first time racing
George in the ve ss ran a pb of 12.15, was trying his hardest to crack an 11, has it in it big time, needs to swap some softer springs into the rear, the coilovers wint let weight transfer for it to squat out of the hole, so its justwheelspinning.
Rick in the lx hatch ran two passes uner 11 and got booted lol.
all up we had an awesome day. Tired now!
Lets aim for august/ sept next year for colder weather!

Rob and Tiny thanks again to another great day, the hours you guys put in so we can all have a good day is much appreciated
I had well over 20 runs and pretty much ran good all day , except for the last run . Thought i must have started in second gear by mistake but later found out it wasnt engaging 1st gear at all . Im pretty sure it is only adjustment gone out on my ratchet shifter as driving it home i sometimes could select 1st.
Was down a little on MPH from last year and times btu had a great day none the less, as good to catch up with the regulars too

ive got about 3 hours of in car footage so ill go through it all and find all the different cars i ran against and post them on utube.my car did 30 runs and filmed most of them.
yeah rob i cant believe the attrition rate it was staggering and so early.it seemed like only after a couple of runs there were no people lining up.ah well next year will be early spring so its not so hot for cars and drivers.

The closeness and love of this family is so special..i left andrew on friday nite at 8.30 still polishing and detailing his car such is the pride in his car"s presentation,...pretty much about same same time i pulled pin the on my yellow L34 just ran out of time..
well if any off guys want to no how a track pack genuine L34 goes well my red L34 ran a best of 13.4 at 106 mph running via m21 and bango diff (340 horsepower on the engine dyno) on street tyres was like walking on egg shells,..certainly not what i'm use to driving down the quarter...all my clan had a fun day but run of the day for me was seeing my good friend Ned (Hercules competition engines) run 11.2 at 123.6 mph in the stick shifted 5litre non stroke hatchback very very impressive then watching is brother Norm back it up...very talented drivers behind manual 4speed cars...
looks like we've un earthed a new pro-stock driver in matt SLR 3300...matt for the last month has had sleepless nites about this day letting his car and actions do the talking on the track (finally i can take the ear plugs out matt) well done matt...finally to the 2 robs well done a big effort getting the day organized..but next time guys when you order the weather could you order cooler conditions...
