This was last years just for a reference:

Cost:$245 to enter your car to race with 1 driver, And additional $50 to PRE NOMINATE a Second Driver. (SO total cost for 2 drivers $295).
This cost Covers:
Entry for the driver, 5 passes for Spectators, and a car pass for a tender vehicle.
Still Photography by professional Motor Sport Photographers- DVD of your images sent to all entrants
Videography of the day - Edited video sent to all entrants on DVD
Small trophies for the Bracket Winner/s.
All remaining money will be donated to GMH-Torana.com.au Forum for hosting/running costs.

yeah thanks for that but its changed for this year.you can see the entry costs on the wsid sup regs 200 for you 50 for co driver and the only difference is the media blokes have put their prices up and no im not making a cent out of this it will probably cost me by the time the discs are sent out.if we want trophies and things well it will have to go up again.im only doing this becuase no one else would and we all had such a good time it would be a shame to let it go.if there are to be trophies then the cost of these will have to be divided between the entrants.if the cost means the entries are low then the dvd side of it will be left out and it will just be entry fees and you rely on your own people to take pics and vids.the passes will be the same as last year.

Forget the trophies rob! The guys really just enjoy the racing!!
I put $5 on the cost last year to cover all that stuff, dont leave yourself short mate! You should not have to pay out of your pocket!!

Is the video/photos optional, or do the drivers HAVE to take it?
Also do they have to take both photos AND video it can you do just one?
Just asking because I'm sure others will want to know!

Oh, I also just found that we enjoy a quick DYO after lunch , but mostly people just want to race!! Grudge racing all the way through!

As i said mate, just a reference for you to have a look at. Im more than happy to pay Watever as its a top day!
I say throw $2-$3 on top to cover your time and efforts, im happy to pay the extra couple of bucks for the time you have put in.

Cheers

no actually this is going to get to messy ill have to make the dvd compulsory .i cant get stuck with the scenario that only 30 subscribe then i have to go through and charge those 30 people more or go through and give them all refunds.sorry but this is the best way ,also the poor blokes doing the work have no idea who has paid and who hasnt.i trust everyone will understand.
we can decide on the day about dyo.whatever people want to do is fine by me at least we wont have the track delay in the morning so we should have a bit more time up our sleeves.its all good.

How about we all pay the standard entry fee, ask for interest in the photo/dvd and have a cut off date for EOI, if its enough people, then they pay, if not, no one pays.

I dont have the extra $$ floating around right now to cover it, and I know alot of my guys are in the same boat.

on a related note, Can I organise a media pass for two friends? (partners of drivers who happen to dabble in photography as well) I know Tiny organised one for Josh last year?

Im with Rob on this one, its going to be too hectic to organise some with and some without pics or vids, then like he said those who have paid will then have to add extra because the total cost is not covered, cmon guys i know its extra cash but its good value anyway otherwise too many variables and the yearly event will eventually die out as no one will want to take it on.

Maybe should be $260 or whatever for entry and it inc pics , one price no confusion and makes it easy on the organisers, just my opinion

i think from the outset it should be one price with photography and video inclusive,..the only add ons should be for extra drivers it's much simplier that way i would think.i saw how much was involved in setting the up gig last year and the year before from rob (tiny) its a massive effort that requires a lot of support and co-operation from all involved...
the photography is brilliant..althought last year i had a bit whinge to video man about seeing very little footage of my own car and explained to him theme was gmh torana drag day,.and my car was no slouch a mid 11 second street car at that...i don't mind seeing a mazda wheelstand a couple of times and have a great appreciation for other cars other than just torana's as its pretty much a social drag day for the forum and its friends a fun day at that,.i'm well aware how much time goes into making these videos and editing,i realize you can't please everyone but before you edit and erase some people like myself don't mind paying a little more to see there car a little more and most happy to pay you for your good work..and yes the dvd was great last year..

wsid sets the prices i can only follow their rules.they do have a set price 200 for a single 50 for a dual thats all we can work with.the media side of it is fixed at 60 so the price of a single is 260
a double 310.
unclefesta your first sentence is the way it is.it is a fixed price the only add on is another driver.
i know 260 and 310 sounds alot.what would be a smart thing for double entered is to halve it with your co driver not just recoup the 50.
155 is a pretty good deal for what you get as oppose to paying 50 on a wed night and possibly only getting 2 / 3 /4 runs and no dvd.
even the 260 for a single is good.you will possibly get anywhere up to 20 runs as i dont see there being a start delay being warmer.4 times wed night @ 200 you arent going to get the amount of runs you will get on our day.and again no dvd.

best bet would be email them from the website, i emailed for info on et streets and apparently not needed for those but full slicks the loop is required, see below for what i wrote and then the reply i received.

What i wrote
"Just wondering if you could let me know some info in regards to
private track days, Does a car need a tailshaft loop when running MT et streets
tyres or is it purely for full slicks only , thanks in advance"

Reply
"Your car only needs a tail shaft loop if you are running slicks as for
the Private Test days you can email John Henman
[email protected]"

May pay to ask about the circuit slick but im guessing its a slick and may need it ?? Best to be sure rather than turn up on the day and find you cant run

Ive got another payment(in full $260) to go into your account over the weekend.

I honestly cant spare the extra for photos on the three original entries at this stage, but will be able to pay them before the drag day.

Also,

I did some asking around in my contacts,

I have a friend who is a professional photographer and journo (car mags etc)

I asked him about shooting the drag day,

he sent me this-

$2500 (inc GST) = $50.00 per car (50 cars). Let me know if that interests everyone. For that I will shoot the hell out of everything and try and also get some shots during any lunch break you guys have and burn 50 copies, to be delivered to the nominated recipient for distribution. Ill need a date confirmed ASAP before the month starts to fill up with other stuff. Will it be weekday or weekend?
Just an option
