Was located in queenbeyan (spelling?)
I can find out exact dates if need be, but I know he had financial dramas that ended up causing the eventual closure.
Why do you ask bazza?
Ohhh and I see him most weekends, and I own a house with his daughter at this stage, although if all our parents had their way wedbe married already. Haha.

Thanks for that. Somewhere along the line I had been informed that his dealer code was 035, but was given no location. Where was his dealership located?
Cheers

He owned the NG Booth XU1 raced by Graeme Moore. Booth Holden sponsored Allan Grice's first L34, but by early 1977 he also had Esmond Motors painted on the front spoiler. Max's first dealership started as Esmond Motors in '75 and owned one of the Brabham / Moss L34's. (The other was owned by Pat Millar) The name was changed to Max Aubert at the start of 1977 and he bought two A9X hatchbacks, of which one went to Grice.

I am now. Lol
Rim10 gave me a shout.
I'm now married (11 years this year) to his granddaughter with 2 kids. So times flown.
Max unfortunately passed away a few years ago after a spate of illnesses.
His son (my father in law) has been pretty active with tales from those days and memorabilia etc.
Unfortunately one of Max's friends was storing a large number of his things from the race days- he passed away before Max and unbeknownst to us all, his family binned everything. We weren't even aware it was stored there, or what was actually in it all.
A massive shame.
