Hello everyone, bit of an oddball one. Have come across this dash, has anyone seen anything like it before?

I dont know if it's something someone has modified at some point but it is hard to tell.

Please discuss.

Dave

Never seen one like that before. Looks like someone has replaced the speedo face. Highly doubt it's a factory job.

True, it's not a bad effort. I've got a "modified" one here with a tacho mounted in a standard cluster that was in my LH when I bought it. That speedo is a lot better...

I suspect that if you look closely you will find that it is a sticker on the standard face. If not I would like to know who did the screen printing.

Instrument cluster from a Dealer optioned twin turbo supercharged fuel injected tunnel rammed Plus 4 Sunbudgie F1-11. :tease:
Note that it also has the radar screen on the left of the speedo.

Torana's have always been fairly easy to wind off the clock, but you'd need a good bit of road and some decent revs to do it with that speedo.

Thanks for the replies.

Andy there is definately no sticker, it is printed directly onto the metal face and has the original factory texture to it(meaning the black background). I'm not under any illusions it's some sort of special factory dash the font is not 100%, but its something different that I havent seen before. If I didnt already have the VDO instruments in the hatch i'd happily stick it in and wind it out!! Like the famous HO on the Hume picture on the Wheels magazine cover, hahaha.

Might be these transfers? :dontknow:
I have used them in the past to re-calibrate a speedo head.
