Hello friends of the mighty Torana,
I've put this post up, because I want to find a truly awesome colour to paint my hatch.
However, I think that there are others out in Toranaland that would like to get some inspiration or to help them find a colour also.......

So I think it would be cool if we posted up pics and as much info (paint codes or paint names, brands etc) as possible to help those (me included)

make a decision on a colour to paint our prized machines with. It doesn't even need to be a pic of a Torry!

What about 3 shades of made up pink? But then maybe you take your car more seriously than I do : )

My old HZ kingswood. 330 stroker, efi, supra 5 speed and proudly pink : )

I like that poison ivy too, but it's a fad colour that will date the car, like the tiger mica syndrome : )

Dirtbag, my missus wants a pink HQ coupe when the Torrie is done.
It won't look right with pink cars everywhere.

I'll accidentally buy an XB coupe instead of the HQ coupe and I'll also accidentally paint it black

Yeah, that's my old car. It was just a bit of fun. Nice car to drive too as it had air and steer : )

Nick sent me a pic of the engine bay with the new motor. 600+ cubes and 800hp or so. Not bad at all hehehehe!!!!

The EFI stroker and 5 speed that I had in there were sold off to a guy I went to primary school with. Small world. He put it in his Mobil VK Group A replica race car.

MY bike
it was almost a stock red tint almost the same as a certain Italian super car

the trick to it was a three coats of clear and then about a tenth of what is normally recommended of red pearl mixed with clear and then sealed with a final clear

Unless you were only a few hundred millimetres from paint you could not see the pearl, and the paint looked like a straight red but it had a very real hit you in the face glow to it - it was redder then red if you like

and bonus red cars go faster

holden do a simalar color (morphlus i think) .....if you h8t fraurds
leave black to the detailers.....it's a full time job keeping that color clean :(

You should have got someone else to take this photo so you could be in shot wearing your sequinned muscle shirt and black leather chaps. :tease:

when i get home i'll scan some photos of my old hx wgn in british racing green (sort of was a mistint 4ltrs = 50 bucks)
and my old lh torrie in red with slr style blackouts
didn't get any photos of my hq tonner in sting red but was a nice colour

Here's a colour that would either make you puke, or - opposite of puking - whatever that is.

Personally, love the colour (cars not too bad too)
