I built the headers on Kevin's Heffernan's car at work....... looks like he'll be booking in for another set in the future. I feel their loss!

Rory, I'm not so sure that Dummett was that far off line. The angle doesn't help and the escort is quite far over to the inside already setting up for hungry's. I think when I raced the torana I was somewhere between dummett's and the escorts line.
Then again I could be totally wrong haha.

I heard that a car was in the middle of the track that had ran out of fuel, due to knocking the electric fuel pump switch off, so the first 2 toranas went either side of it, then thats when the trouble started, with one getting a bit outa shape on the grass, and the rest is history !

I've seen Mark Pryor's sequence pics of the incident taken from where Peter Baguley hit the wall in 76, and it shows Bruce Dummett sticking his nose in where he shouldnt have, when Peter got 76 sideways.. gave 76 no where to go..

There are a lot of people REALLY unhappy with ol Bruce at the moment! He's a friend to us as well but i really think he needs to tone it down a bit before someone gets hurt bad..

Kevin called in to visit us at work and filled us in. The lady driver of the purple car (His employer Carol Jackson) has a busted pelvis and a range of other serious injuries. She will be out of action for quite some time. The other drivers are all ok bar a few bumps and bruises. The purple car is scrap he says... even the cage was destroyed. Kevin's own car is repairable but the hit was so hard it even broke one of the triple intake manifolds off the engine! he left it with us to repair.....

thats unfortunate she got that badly injured,hope she will mend quickly.
the cars are a mess,i think some of those repro panels will get gobbled up,and a few shells will be looked for.
bad luck for the torana,s.
