Got the grille all sorted now with some nice un dinted stainless! Had a few small dings, but I just panel beat them out.

Also decided to bite the bullet and sit down and fix my centre console. Yes, its in really good nick, but had a few cracks from possibly rough treatment in transport or rough treatment in its general life....

Had a section near the arm rest that had cracked badly, enough so that a piece had actually broken off and left a small odd shaped hole in the side... The only thin to do was to make it into a normal shape, and use a piece of my old broken centre console cut to fit the hole. Ive still got to strip it back and paint it Chamois....

Ive been using loctite Tak Pak, its great for this kinda work!!!

Got the centre console all repaired and then soda blasted with the pressure down really low to start off with then I dialed it up to like 40psi cause it was taking foreeeevvvverrrrr...... Didnt damage the plastic anywhere. Ive got some Chamois Acrylic for this that Ill hit it with. Im just using a pressure pack plastic adhesion primer, so hope it will be ok.

One question, should the storage bins be Chamois as well??? Or Black??? Im kinda thinking black? But I think Ill just do em Chamois... Also going to give the sunvisors and grab handles a hit with the Chamois to.

I have a set of original Chamois grab handles. They need a good clean but they're complete with chrome coat hooks & all plastic screw covers. They're yours if you want them, let me know. Cheers Matt

Well got all the Chamois stuff sprayed up today, armrests, grab handles, sun visors and the centre console. All come up pretty good I think. See how hard wearing it is I guess? The arm rests and sun visors were originally Chamois anyways, just a bit grubby.

Got the heater box out, will need to replace all the foam on all the internal flaps. Ive got a new heater core, although this one still looks really good??? Better be safe then sorry! Also got some perfect size sticky back foam for the vent cowl that fits under the dash panel. I hate seeing old cars where the heater and things dont work.... I want everything to work as good as it should with this car. Found the heater was full of small bits of broken windscreen to....

This thing is going to be better than factory. You will be able to sell it with a 3year or 100,000km
"manufactured by Brad" warranty. Well done.

Got the A, B, C pillars and dog legs trimmed up. Because the A pillar never got painted when the car was done......? :wtf: Ive decided to trim it with black long grain vinyl. Im actually glad I did this as I think it looks better then plain paint. My only concern the front windscreen rubber fitting and sealing... with the vinyl running down the length of the A pillar? Fitted 5mm foam to the C pillars also. Basically now ready to fit the roof lining.

Looking good! I done my a pillars in the black long grain as I did the b and c. No problems with leaks. One thing I did notice was the rear seat in my SLR was an LX style one and whilst in the c pillar was very visible. After I fitted the genuine SLR LH rear the c pillar is amost blocked by the side 'bolster' of the seat. It goes to show how flat the LX seats must be. It doesnt look that much but obviously is. I'm so glad I sourced the original vynal for it only to be covered by the seat. Lol !

Made a start on the roof lining today. Try n glue it all up tomorrow. Bit of a mission by yourself. Just time consuming.

The roof lining is coming along pretty well... Just need to glue up the passenger side rear pillar and then trim the excess.. Week long process this has been!!! Also got all the rear wiring harness back in, have a $800 order from Kingswood Country coming with a few bits and pieces also, and the carpet and underlay is on its way to.

Yeah next job will be to get all the windows/bailey channel done... Id like to get the car to pretty much locked up stage before I go dropping the K-Frame/Engine/Gear box out.. Just so I dont have more parts lying around and so that I dont have to many jobs on the go. Its been good having a break from sandblasting everyday after work and 2 pac'ing on weekends.... Though that will all start again soon once the front end it out..
