The headlining looks awesome. Love the chamois trim against the black.

Well got all the Chamois stuff sprayed up today, armrests, grab handles, sun visors and the centre console. All come up pretty good I think. See how hard wearing it is I guess? The arm rests and sun visors were originally Chamois anyways, just a bit grubby.

G'day Brad,

What did you spray them with?? Most products are too glossy and they look painted, where as this is more of a satin finish like original.... I like it... :spoton:

Cheers

Hey John, hows things mate!

I went into the local auto paint shop and gave them the GMH code for Chamois: 578-17214. They mixed it up in acrylic as there is no 2 pac code for it. Everything turned out sweet as!!! Very happy with the finish!

You'll be right mate! Did you get yours off Boomfunk? Its a good fit. Just dont rush and take your time. Its pretty much taken me all week every night after work to get this done to a point Im happy with. What colour is your lining going to be? I reckon black would be more forgiving as if there are wrinkles then the shadows cast by them wont show up compared with this chamois lining the wrinkles and shadows stand out like dogs balls!

Got my BRAND NEW STOCK Rare Spare Dash decals all sorted out. I sand blasted the fascias first then hit them with matt black then ensured the surface was spotless with a tak rag and carefully placed the decals on!!

Also got some paint on the interior light not really the chrome finish I was after....

Oh yeah. I've always heard good things about them, just that turn around time was a little slow? Get your self 3m of 16mm pinch weld and cut it up into little bits, and some contact glue and you will be set!!!

Cheers Mate... :spoton: And you're right about being slow, but I knew this and gave them plenty of notice.... I think it was worth the drive and going there and meeting them.... Real top notch products...

That would seriously be soo helpful John.... I have pulled my hair our searching... everything has been in zip lock backs since I stripped it...

The thought just crossed my mind that maybe it was still attached to the fascia when I sent it down to Rare Spares to be copied???

For your interior light, there's a paint you can get at a hobby shop called a 'metaliser' which you paint on then buff it or shine it up with a fine soft brass brush.

You'll have to clear it afterwards or you'll get finger marks everywhere, but it will come up nice and shiny.

Are you going to repaint the black surrounds on the tail lights? I bought the same one and I thought they were too flat... I know they weren't super glossy, but they were brighter than that...

Cheers
