Steering wheel horn cap center thinggy.... just plain with no lettering. Mine is the same, yet I see many with an SS or SL/R badge on it.

Which is correct?

How can you drive this thing when it's finished Brad? It's better than new!

Hahahaha yeah mate I'll drive it!!! Whatya think I keep my cars in bubbles or something.....???

Horn cap debate has raged on a few times from what I've seen. Looking at old pics, my highly un-educated opinion is plain cap.

And the rocker covers are in primer still was going to paint them on daturday but had some medical emergencies come up with my dog over the weekend.

That looks beautiful mate.

Whatever you do, don't start cutting corners because you haven't so far.

Who cares if it takes a little bit longer?

Thanks mate. Nah no corner cutting here. Everything gets done as it should.

Is this the correct spot for the clutch fork return spring to attach to on the k frame?? Can't see a special hole for it???

LH manual shows the spring as per your picture except the fork end is not quite right.

Brad,

Looking great - a couple of questions if I may please;

1. The bell housing and tail end of your gearbox - are they painted silver or have you done something to the bare alloy finish because it looks great, and I'd like mine to looks like your gearbox is all.

2. The red colour for the 'guts' of the box - what is it, where did you get it and please tell me this is available in a spray pack so I can do it myself...

Finally, that was a great little 'win' you had with your improvised clutch aligning tool - well done to you!

Thanks, TB

I sand blasted the bell housing and snout at work. Let it soak in some ACF-50 for a week or so to. Looks a treat.

The box is painted Red Oxide primer as I believe this was the factory colour?

Make a trip to bunnings mate!!

Thanks Brad,
I've had a look at that ACF-50 stuff on the web and will see how I can get a hold of the stuff.
And thanks also for the tip on the red paint - need to visit Bunnings tomorrow for other things and so will see what I can find.
All the best, TB

Thanks for all the words of support guys and also for puttin the pressure on!!! Hahahaha!!!!

Things may start to slow down over the next few months due to a lack of finances thanks to the new fake eye I gave my dog. But I've still got a few parts and bits and pieces that can go back on.

Once the motor is in, the console and seats can go in. I'm yet to get the door trims made yet.... Plus I need a new exhaust....

Hopefully next weekend I'll tackle getting the motor back in..... I'm seriously dreading it and have been trying to plan it all in my sleep.

How's this one look? Thanks Mark!!!!
