By the time it got to Brisbane it would be a paddock thrasher! You have no idea what sort of billy goat tracks we have for roads north of SEQ. 5000klm round trip down and back.

He's right, Even the landcruiser gets thrown around like a rag doll between here and brissy, North of here is worse. Hanra is 1200km further up than i am, all goat tracks.

After brissy isnt so bad.

Wont stop me driving the HB to the fest after the rebuild though hehe.

Cheers.

Front/Rear windscreen sealed and locking strips and corner pieces fitted. I dunno what I was so worried about???? Went in so easy that I had to double check I wasnt doing something wrong.... The corner pieces were a bit tricky though... But its all GMH locking strip and corner pieces. Just the Rubbers were RSP items. But everything seems good.

Wandered down to the local swap meet on Sunday. Most people just call in there on their way to the dump to try and offload a few things before dumping the rest....

I ratted my way through a few Torana parts mainly common stuff like hatch back glass for $20 and rear window latches for $5. I Managed to score a GMH dizzy and believe it or not it's correct for SLR 5000!!! Pretty happy with that!

Derrrrr shit sorry. My shed is still full of kero fumes from the clean up of the black sealant frpm my windscreen...

Yes... GMH Coil... 1.5ohm primary winding so will still work ok with the Pertronix and no ballast resistor. According to the pertronix website anyways!

Im patient Chris. Let me know when the air is available for collection!

So the gear stick is in with new upper/lower boots fitted. Also got the lid and boot for the console. Ive had to fiddle with the plastic retaining pieces that hold the lid to the underside of the console. They were causing the lid to not fully sit back flat, it would sit up about 1cm.... All good now with some heat and bending of the plastic.

Console just sat in for dummy fit.

BARHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Slack aint I... Waiting on the rims which are at the sandblasters getting tidied up. Decided to get em powdercoated black as I just don't have time to 2 PAC them.

Got 4 SLR hubcaps, just have to decide on some 185 tyres.

Awaiting on the radiator to get made. Dropped the bands off on mon morn. But still nothing yet.

Scuff plates and hose clamps have been at the Electroplaters for 6 weeks and still waiting.

Awaiting on the Exhaust to be made also.

Also have what I hope to be the final parts order from Kingswood Country on its way up here. Man.... I've spent some $$$ with those guys!!!

I'm going to paint the tailshaft it's baby shit green colour on the weekend.

However I have fitted the brake calipers with new pads. Went with Gurling pads. The brake shop found an anti rattle clip from a Ford I think? That fits perfectly. So I'll hopefully have brakes in the next few days if the mrs feels like pumping............

The pedal.

I thought the rubber brake hoses seemed a tad short? But they are the same length as what came off and I confirmed measurements with everyone here when I had them made.

Ahhh yes. I don't think it will have the torque to do wheel stands.
