Cheers Mort.

The company I was buying it off, called it the Drivers side Engine pipe.

It has a flared end which goes from the stock drivers side exhaust manifold, all the way back to where it joins the muffler. Its 2in diameter. There P/N is E3028WOBT (I think that stands for With Out Balance Tube) which it should have but they dont do a pipe with it....

I think it was there own brand as they manufactured it....

Im seriously hoping that Lx77slr5k (Carl) can help me out!!!!!!!

Hey mate real sorry no luck on those program cards im still chasing with a couple of other shops that have old stock lying around if we could get hold of an old 1 to copy would be great. Not sure about prices up there but shouldnt cost much more then $150 to have 1 custom made up but depending on your location for flatbed ect would probably work out cheaper to have the whole system made up at the same time. I will keep hunting around

Ahhhhh. Bugger mate....

Ill keep hunting also.

Well as an example, when I bought the car I had it flat beded from where it was stored to my house, a total distance of 3.8klms, that cost me $50.

The nearest exhaust shop is 15klms from my place... So I guess a truck in would be $150, and truck home $150... $300... plus exhaust shop labour/parts. $150-200 as a guess?????

Pretty expensive trip just to get a bloody pipe made..

Im trying my hardest to not have to take the car to an exhaust shop.

Just waiting for a call back from an exhaust shop in Mackay, hopefully early tomorrow.

The first one i went to wanted the old pipe, didn't even mention a pre bent one or pull out a book, the second shop the bird was great to talk to and very helpful, looked like she had the same book your pic came out of.

Fingers crossed one of us comes up with one.

My mate broke down in his monaro once, he was 12klm from home (in town). Cost him $120 to get a flatbed home.

Hey Mort!!!!!! Maaaaate thanks heaps for bloody trying! I hope it didn't consume to much of your day? I spoke to the guys supplying my exhaust this arv, they definitely can't supply that pipe.

But speaking with Lx77slr5k (Carl) this afternoon, he has advised me that he has sourced the right pipe. Once he gets it in his hands we will know for sure!!!! Fingers crossed!!! Ripper!!

So there is a possibility that all is gooooood?

Got a price for the engine pipe, $220 and will have to be made and would be 2 weeks from order then you gotta get up to you.

Don't know if that is a good price or not so lets hope Carl has the right one.

Does anyone know what an original battery would have looked like for V8 Torana? Did they have the clear whiteish case?

It just has the standard gloves in it. I think the lighting in the pic is a bit deceiving.

$550 to get 5 rims blasted and powder coated. Found a shop with some 185/70/R13s in stock. However I've had the incorrect valve stems fitted... Had a choice of long or short.... I went short.... Dam... Have to take em back and get the valves changed. F*ck me I'm not having much luck lately....

As you can see..... The valve stems are way to short.

Funny you mention that. I paid for the exhaust today and hopefully its on its way across the desert. The Electroplating was also paid for today, so that will be the front scuff plates re-zincd, hose clamps re-zinced and interior door openers re-chromed.

I think the only other major things needed still are $700 door trims and $1000 bumper bars...

Brad you can buy extensions for the air valves. they screw onto the normal valve stem. sorry my car is in storage so no photos. I can pump the tyre straight into this piece. maybe someone can take a photo.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck when having to rely on other people. Nonetheless this car is coming along amazingly. I thought you might have been going to run the rebel wheels though? They suit it perfectly.

Attempted to bleed the brakes but found the newly overhauled Master Cylinder weeping at the bottom of the big nut. So.... I'll have to pull that off and take back into the brake shop.

Why do I bother with anything?
