It's starting to feel like every single thing I've paid someone else to do, I've either had to fix it myself, take it back to get re-done or send it to someone else to re do it.

Because people make mistakes
And when your trying to refurbish 30+ year old crap ... things don't always go as planned

Cheer up Brad, i had years of bad luck like that, in life. Then i buy a raffle ticket in 2003 and win a brand new car worth $40,000 :badabing: and i thought it must be my payback for or the bad luck, i kept it for 12 months and sold the car and bought a Torana

Well perhaps? But Ive been dealing with the business owner. It did cost me $1200 to do the M/C, Booster, Prop valve and calipers.

I did also find that when I had the brake warning switch removed and I pumped the brakes, there was some fluid which came out of the warning switch hole.

Hmmmm... Ill have to go an buy a lotto ticket after all this.

Get a Lotto ticket brad, as lots of bad luck gets rewarded with good luck, or better yet, buy a raffle ticket for a brand new car :)

Yeah was $550 to blast and coat my rims mate. It's a nice part of the country to live but the cost of living is quite high. And funnily enough we have the highest unemployment rate in the country.

The place I work for was getting a guy from Cairns to do CNC'ing of timber patterns and making fibreglass moulds because he was cheaper than the local guys (go figure). But after he recently #@$^%& up a big job I don't think they'll be using him again...

It's been a few months wait and after a bit of pressure put on em, i got my bits back from the platers, bits look good so I guess it was worth it.

Got the front scuff plates re zinc'd and also the hose clamps re zinc'd also. As rare spares are having issues with there interior door handles, I got the maroon powder coat on mine replaced with chrome.

Think it was about $155-$185 to do the four of them. The zinc is cheap as, like $60.
