Sorry mate I don't. I actually bought the jack as is. It's been powdercoated. Cost me $180 for the jack. I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Saved me blasting and painting it!!!

Hey Brad the beastie is looking very umm, black, what is your plan with the SL/R stripes and tail spoiler infill? Black on black?
Have never seen a factory black SL/R so not sure how they come.

No one has been able to identify the colour of these jacks...the original colour looks a bit like Jaguars' Squadron Blue.
Anyone else with other thoughts?

Thanks mate. No infill and no stripes as far as I know mate.

This is the only other (LH I believe) Tuxedo Black LH SL/R 5000 Ive seen....? Has LX headlights???

http://uniquecars.ca...topDefault.aspx

Hopefully no one pulls me up for that jack being the wrong colour!!!

Had a call from Steve at Cools this morning also. Door trims are all ready to go!!!!! Nice!!!!

I did see a LX in black but it's striping and tail spoiler infill was silver, sort of a reverse of how a silver car would look.
Thanks for the link BTW.

I got the little brush on to my yet to be restored jack parts and I might be a bit off with that colour suggestion.
Like if anyone has a definitive colour code let us know, most suggestions I have read are just guesses....

Yeah see I think it's because the LH SLR 5000 has a smaller decal on the bobtail spoiler. So having an infill across there would just look silly in any coulour.

Clean them and eBay them, get a bit of coin back after all you have spent getting rid of the maroon and powder coating

Took my leaking brake warning switch block back into the brake shop on Monday as it was leaking out of the warning switch hole. Went in there today, it needs to be re-sleaved as there is a very large pit from corrosion towards the end of the chamber. It had only been rebuilt by them a few months ago. I could see the pit with my eye when I looked down the chamber.

Yeah just like they had to re-do the leaking master cylinder. You do tend to get sick and f u c k i n g tired of dealing with companies who cant provide a decent service when you pay good money for it. Gets very tiresome being stressed when things dont go the way they should. I honestly dont believe I expect to much... but sometimes Im not so sure...

I agree, you pay for the service & you expect just that. You're doing a fantastic job as a whole on this car though & you'll forget all the little drama's on the way when it's all complete....well either that or a lot of bourbon might help get over it! :spoton: Well done so far mate

Well well well. I've just received my front and rear bumper bars from Vinneys. No idea if they fit or not yet, but looking at them with a very keen eye they are faultless. $595ea plus $185 freight.

Could this be..... an Electroplater that does good work? So far so good!!

Would have cost more if I had to send my bars away and then pay to have them freighted back to me after plating. Can't win living in the sticks mate.

Once it's been detailed then ill fit the bars. Cools said they would post the door trims off on Monday. So I may see them next Friday. That will finish the interior off 100%.

No idea if this is correct or not but it looks cool!!

The car was sent to City Motors Toowoomba Dec 1975 so I guess that's where it was sold from. I wanted to put this decal down the bottom of the screen but the pilkongton etch would have spoilt it. Once again, just a guess on the decal and position.....

Car has to be detailed first before the bars go on. That happens on the 8th December. Otherwise they will just be in the way......

And yeah we'll spotted. It is a Delkor with the labels removed and a GM sticker stuck on, I've had good experiences with these batteries. Got it from AAA Batteries here in town. Last time I bought one for my other car I had to get the bloody thing couriered up from Mackay.... No one sold em up here......

As usual more parts I ordered have turned up incorrect... I like the guys at Kingswood Country.... but just about every single order I have made with them has had incorrect parts supplied.... The Rear bumper bar strip appears to be for a front bar even though its labeled for a rear bar....

Front has 16 mounting points (which this has) rear has 15 mounting points....

F uck me.... send it back, wait a week for them to receive it... send the replacement... wait another week.

Just send me the right f ucking parts in the first place....

Its so frustrating.... start a job, then have to pack it back up for 2 weeks until the right shit gets here.....

Trim? Do you mean the rubber strips? Ive got a NOS Front rubber strip and had to use a RSP rear rubber strip as I couldnt find a NOS rear strip....
