I'm a pretty handy fella when it comes to beer, spanners or a Janome overlocker......

Nah i just got a local carpet/rug shop to do it for me. 60 bucks. The carpet was left over from the carpet I supplied to do the door trims. I just cut it to shape.

Bit of an update.

I had sent the cracked bumper bar back down to Melbourne to the platers, it got there on Wed. They arranged an exchange bar for me as they shut for 3 weeks come lunch time today. That bar got picked up yesterday. So lets hope it dosnt get damaged in transit. That should be here end of next week I hope.

Got the car back from getting a detail, very happy with the outcome. NO swirls or scratches. Car looks a million dollars.

Just took the leaking Master Cylinder off the car again last night. Dropped that into the brake shop this morning, it has to be stripped down so I can paint strip/prime and re- 2pac......

They are shut for 3 weeks also..... so it wont even get looked at till mid Jan... Probably have that sorted by Feb... f uck me.

You ever watch movies about war and the priests etc are running around saying prays with dying men. Well that pray is called your "last rites".

Number plates are $160 in the nt.

Hahahahaha! Hey Dave!!!!

Basically Ive done nothing to the car for weeks.....

It came back from the detailers late last year and Im very very very happy with the work performed. Was $500 well spent I think, Not a swirl to be seen!

As you may remember my front bumper bar started to crack the chrome.... So that was sent back at great expense to myself, and they supplied an exchange bar which I also had to pay freight costs on..... The bar only arrived mid last week.... Was sitting in a depo in BNE for 2 weeks over Xmas.... Ill get that fitted back up in the next week or so.

But the M/C has been removed once again as its been leaking under the lid.... its destroyed the paint on the M/C so needs to be stripped down by the brake shop for me to re-paint it.... and they need to resolve the leaking lid. The brake shop has been shut for 3 weeks and only opened back up today.... So its been sitting in there on his shelf all this time....

Ive also pulled the gearbox back out on the weekend to re-solve the leaking input shaft. Hoping I can get that back in this weekend if I get the parts in time.

Here you can see the cause of the leak....

Once I get the car back on its wheels Ill get the SLR 5000 decals put on also. The rear bobtail has now been fitted properly and all the holes sealed up to prevent leaks (fingers crossed)

Booked in for next Thursday. The detailer is going to give me a hand. Needs wax taken off where the sticker is going, then wax re-applied over the top of it.

Going to have a shot at getting the gearbox back in on Sunday, better have some weet-bix...

Might as well update this since the link was posted up elsewhere...

Didnt get the decals put on due to threat of cyclone, so packed everything up in the shed and had no room to work...

M/C has been stripped and Ive re-painted it. Back with the brake shop getting put back together... hopefully it dosnt leak anymore.....
