Brad they would more likely be ROH or Aunger wheels back in the 70s. Dragway were not as popular then. Perhaps "jellybeans". There was a wheel that was the same as the jellybeans except there were about 8 round holes. Not sure what brand they were, one of the local brands. Cant find a picture of them, will keep looking.

Now you mention it mate, Graham did say later on in the conversation they were Aungers. He said they were not jelly beans. Similar, but not jelly belly.

I cant wait to see your car finished .. cheers Ian.

Cheers Ian, so the car was re-sprayed Black? Not factory black?

And by the way, my car is finished now. You may have missed it mentioned a few posts back. If this rain ever goes away, Ill be able to get it out and get some more photos.

Yeah Brad the wheel name is driving me nuts...you know when you cant quite remember, but you know you know (???) Arrrrgh.

Cant see any pics online of them to prompt me, I would say they were 1986 or around then, I bought a set of 13X7 Aunger Jellybeans for my RX4. and they were in one of the brochures, I remember that much.

They were cast alloy with round holes (about 6 - 8). It will come to me one day.......................................................

For once, i agree with Gene.

Seriously, ditch the idea of the bonnet spear, will destroy the car.

Cheers.

Hi Brad,

Lovely job mate, ...that car makes me imagine what it would have been like if you ordered it from your local dealer and it turned up. You get the phone call to come and pick it up, and when you walk in you see THAT car.....imagine how cool that would have been in the 70's!!.

p.s. while I was looking at your pics my missus  walked past and saw the pics and said " is that your old car??..I said "...nope, much nicer than my old one" . Credit to you mate .

p.s  my old drive below...
