Hey you blokes, not all that keen on the "taxi" tag.
On an Australia day cruise in the hills a few years ago, a couple of the 2 door operators chastised me because my youngest boy (5 years old at the time) was referring to a9x hatchbacks as Ford Mustangs. Says it all pretty much. We all drive taxi's or ford mustangs.
Or maybe we all just operate cool Toranas.
Regards,
Daryl.

Well the back is feeling better. I got out into the workshop this arvo and set to work on filling the holes I cut into the fire wall when doing the front bars. Not much done but it's better than not doing it all.

I don't plan on grinding the welds back, to much trouble and for what?? It's a race car after all.

Had a bit more time on the car this arvo. Plugged up the other side where the bars come through the fire wall. Also got all the brake booster holes etc filled at the same time.
Came up ok for my liking. Didn't bother with the grinding flat again, no need. Go the car off the rotisserie as well. Time to put it on stands and finish what I started ages ago with the flares!! Gotta get it done.
Got the brakes for the rear sorted today. They are being sent up to Race Products for fitting to the diff. I ended up going with AP Racing CP5000/510 & 511 295mm Rotors with the CP5100/ 806 & 807 Caliper. Should be a good set up. Pretty happy with the total brake package in the end, I do have to thank LXSS350 again for getting me onto his mate for the fronts, I wouldn't have the setup I have if it wasn't for him.
Anyway a few pictures from today

Along side is the Torana is my mates Monaro. More progress was made on that today as well.
I have posted some pics a few pages back. Anyway, a lot of time has gone into seam welding the chassis for strength. It has taken a while but the effort will be massively rewarded when it is on the track. A few pictures for you to look at.

Today I started on the front flares and spoiler. Its is so nice to have the front guards and nose cone on. It's been 2 years since they were on, in fact when I first striped the car they came off and haven't been on till now!!
I used 8mm Nutserts in the guards for the flares. I'm pretty happy
Having never fitted a flare before it looks ok so far for me.
