Hey Shiney, yep, a loop will be made for the tail shaft. Not sure on mounting yet? As with most things in this build, do it on the fly.
Sorry I haven't got back to you yet. The missus has been flat chat with work, haven't got to getting a weekend free to catch up with you. Promise I will soon though.

I think that left side might be a little louder than the right
Hey Jeff, I'm deaf on the left side of my head, thought that noise balance for the driver is critical. The left muffler will be for show purposes.
Hahaha, all good.
Just been told on another forum that the outlet might a bit to far forward under the rules? Will have to look at the measurements.
Seriously though, I am deaf in the left ear, just your comment worked beautifully into that!! LOL

Below is from Cams Schedule B point 10.
A car must.........
be fitted with sideways or rearward-facing exhaust outlets. If rearwards, the outlet/s shall be between 100mm and 450mm above the ground and shall not protrude more than 150mm beyond the rearmost portion of the automobile. If directed sideways, the outlet/s must be located rearward of the midpoint of the wheelbase. In any case, they shall not project beyond the maximum width of coachwork or terminate more than 50mm within the plan view of the adjacent coachwork;
Looks like I'm close, will mark it out tomorrow.

This whole rules thing adds a fair bit of complexity to the build.
I guess at least some decisions are made for you.
I hope they're ok, it will be a pain to move them.

The mark on the tape in the second pic is he centre of the front and rear hub. Muffler behind that as schedule B says.

YOur also safe incase schedule B is read as being from bumper to bumper, as there is more rear overhang.
Yeah boy!!!!

Wouldn't that move the centreline rearwards though?
It doesn't matter though because the rules say behind the mid point of the wheelbase.
Looks perfect to me

That would be a tough gig, scruiteneering. Have you been training long? Hats off for you doing that.
There are so many rules to know,

Not to long. Did the course a bit over a month ago, was assistant scruit at the last event the club held (I knocked several things on my car haha)
Fair long haul to actually get to bronze level scruit, doubt i will get there this year, hopefully early next year. Luckily i have a coule of real cool silver level scruits to work under, guys are great to work with.
No need to know all the rules. Cams manual of motorsports covers most of it, and sub regs for a particular event covers the rest. The manual of motorsport has a really really good appendix, its ultra easy to find anythign you want in a hurry, so the thing that keeps getting drumed into me is "its not important to know everything, but it is very important to be able to find anything at a moments notice"
Its good fun in all
Cheers.

exhaust looks great mate, but wouldn't the air going past the tip catch the edge and try and force exhaust gases back in and slow you down?
