exhaust looks great mate, but wouldn't the air going past the tip catch the edge and try and force exhaust gases back in and slow you down?

I did have a moment where I went hmmmm, I wonder if that will catch air??
Not sure to be honest? It is parallel with the car so if I had side skirts it would be flush with that. I didn't think that would to much of a problem as it common to see exhausts come out at an angle and sit flush with the line of the side skirt.
So I thought, all good, go with that. Plus it looks tough as well.

I can cut them back square if needed, there is plenty of length to do that.

All cleaned and hopefully ready for heat treating. Going to coat them the heat coating to minimise engine bay temps.

Fark, something moved!!! Thought I braced it well enough. Goes to show huh, heat and metal = movement.

Easy solution will be to offset that last section I haven't welded in. Good thing I decided to leave it, was for this sort of reason.

When you learn the secret to welding jobs not moving make sure you let me know. I was welding on a new cutting edge to a loader bucket, and I started with 1" tacks alternating from front to rear and worked my way out from the centre. It took ages and I really thought I had it done. Then about 10 mins after I finished, as it was cooling down I heard it go BONG, and I turned around to see a massive bow in it. Arrrghhh

No worries Neil, will do. Interested in helping run brake lines, at setting it up?

Hahaha Daz, my son asked me why I was putting spider legs on the engine?? He's only 6 years old.
I thought it was going to work, but obviously not.

I reckon the movement happened when you cut it off the bench halfway through to flip it up and do the other side?

Once in the jig it should've stayed jigged until finished, welding one side of all the pipes then releasing the tension didn't do you any favours.

More than likely Andrew, your probably right. Welding the whole thing in the original jig setup was to hard.
I didn't post photos of some of the work, I had to cut parts out to properly weld other parts before taking and welding it back in.
The drivers side was the worst.
