Geez... tailshaft... exhaust... steering... next you'll be wanting to start the damn engine! :driving:

Just one minor little thing, should there be a crush tube in that engine mount so the bolt doesn't work it's way loose?

I have got that in the back of my mind.
The 50x50 SHS is 3mm and the mount I made from 6mm. With a crush but it should be ok.

Wouldnt the engine move side to side at its own will with the mounts setup like that?

I'll take a shot from another angle Bomber, there is a plate welded into the mount that sits on the engine mount post. That plate stops sideways movement.
They are off the shelf Tuff Mounts made gor LS engines. I just relocated the engine side of the mount on its plate to make room for the dry sump pump and the new location of the engine mount on the sub frame.

Rules will always be an issue. But no one will notice you until they start looking at your rear bumper when racing😊.
Man I'm keen to see you out there with this.

Been busy on other stuff in the last few weeks. Got these bushes made up for the trailing arm on the sub frame, they will replace the Nolethane bush that is in now. Makes sense to use these as I have solid mount to the chassis rail.

Saving weight Dave. LOL. Pretty happy with how the steering went.

Catch you early, will be on the gate helping get people to the right spot. Won't be staying though, got family stuff on in the arvo.

I have had an Optima battery in my Landcruiser for about six years now. Run it dead flat several times with no problems recharging. Well worth the coin.

I've been told that an A9X spec car is illegal in improved production racing.

They deem it a non-factory car if it has options like the blister to suit the super T10... Amazing!

Because it wasn't fit in the factory by Holden but rather a dealer option its illegal.

I said my father had his gpc a9x running in ipra and all he did was change the wheels to 8" and off he went. They said it was illegal then and is now.... Madness!

Hey Dave, yeah I saw that post, I put up a post after Twin Turbo commented on yours.
I guess that the A9X as it was delivered to the dealers is the starting point of building a car, then add the freedoms allowed within IP rules.

I don't doubt your old man did exactly as you said, ran a Group C A9X on 8" rims and did so without bother from rule makers. It makes you wonder huh!!

Personally I think there is way to much weight given to Gary's opinions on that forum.... People appear to be making decisions on whether they build a car based on comments made over there which I don't think is good for IP. Build your car to the best of your abilities and get out there and have some fun - My experience is that unless you are winning races by a large margin or have a clearly illegal modification, officials will pay little attention to your car apart from the usual safety scrut stuff.

my 2c of course!

Is the pedalbox accessible yet ?

I've got most of the list of fittings for you to buy but I need a look at the master cylinders

I'll still be there doing my thing. If I can't I'll run something in NC
