It's a Motec key pad. It performs all the functions I need from the car, like the lights, indicators, starter motor etc. I have 2 spare spots for any other function I might add to the car, such as driving lights for instance.

Don't forget the air con!, looking fantastic must be killing you for a drive.

Motec is cool stuff, can do so much with it, limit is usually what you can think of.

Cheers Col, appreciate it. It's certainly been a long build of the car.

You can do stuff like having 3-4 even more switchs on one wire, with a different resistor on each switch, then program each switch for a different function.
Just a very small example.

The dash and keypad look awesome and racey.

Didn't like the window net attached to the roll cage, pain in the arse getting it down every time I get out of the car.
The rules allow me to attach it to the door. The size of the net is to big so I have folded it over and shortened the rod.

Welded the brackets to the window frame.

The net hung in the right spot, just need a way of fixing the lower section.

Took the door card off and bolted 2 brackets the door which a rod will thread through.
All sorted and happy with it.

Bits and shits.
Got radiator hose and oil filter sorted.
Also got the stepper sensor in on the throttle body.
Pretty boring items, but another step closer.

Pretty small oil filter, it's the one Autobahn said suits the LS2 engines.

I run the Z418HE on mine.
So long as it screws up and seals it should work.

One thing to check is that you have the remote filter plumbed correctly as most filters have a drain back valve and if plumbed backwards it will starve for oil.

It's coming along a treat.
Keep up the god work!

I use a Z9 filter with an inbuilt magnet in the bottom

Daz, you could have told me about the flow direction!

Thanks for that Daz, will check flow just to be sure, will do that tomorrow night.

Looks good mate, have you worked out what sort of aircleaner you will be running yet?

Hey Sam, was thinking of a KN cone filter directly onto the throttle body or off a 90 degree silicone elbow. Longer term I will probably make a plenum mounted under the bonet to a A9X hole in the bonet.
What do you think of the window net? See any issues with it?

The Z160 has a 13/16-16 (UNF) thread, it was used on LS engines up until 2006 when they changed to a M22 x 1.5 thread (Ryco Z663).

Does your remote filter system have a built in bypass valve? If not then you should consider using a K&N HP-3003 which has a built in bypass valve.

If it does have a bypass valve then I would use the largest filter you can find. The K&N HP-3002 should fit.

Thanks for the info Andy. Daz mentioned a drain back valve which would be a non return valve and you mention a bypass valve. Which is better or are they the same thing? Bypass and drain back mean different things so I would think they are not the same.
What is the main disadvantage to not have either feature?

The plenum idea sounds good...the filter right on the throttle body just tends to suck up a lot of hot engine bay air...cool outside air is better when you can of course.. :D

Agreed Jeff, the KN will be just to get me going. Plenum in the development of it.
