Got some VQ statesman Lower control arms thinking they'd be similar was wrong.
Heres a pic of the a monza rear caliper on next to a VQ rear brake.

Remember this being a victory moment.
Stretching those stiff new springs into position took alot time & energy

Are those parts local? Same as Commodore? Or did you have to import them? :dontknow:

for the rear I've found:
Lower control arms are different to holden.
Wheel bearings are different to holden.
Brakes are different. (but mounting holes are the same)
Subframe/ diff to body rubbers (x2) are different.
Diff centre mount to subframe are different ( was hoping a later VT/VZ diff centre would bolt up :(
VQ cv shafts are too long - ( but the bolt pattern looks similar, mite be able to get custom heavy Duty shafts made)
Hand brake parts I got from Europe.
Brake are made by A.T.E - used on Jags / Porshe & other euro cars at the time.
Springs are similar - using lowered Irs Kings (vn to VT)
& Tailshaft to diff flange is different ( not sure how the guys in aus have been doing for tailshafts , in this car I shortened the monza tailshaft as I kept the Manual 265 getrag during the V8 conversion.

Commodore irs bushes are similar diameter, but too long.
I went with superpro LCA bushes & cut them down to size.

The Diff to body mount is allmost Identical to the one I pulled from a wrecked VT (V6)
so that gave my the courage to drop some $ on a Com IRS tough mount. My wife knows and is going to kill me

maybe i can get the monza end put on the commodore cable?

Pull the steering column out to intstall the clutch pedal.
Seemed easier with the t5 , maybe cause the getrag had a new cable.
