Just received a few more pics of the old girl with the flares on and

a few of the bolt on bits attached.

So glad now we put the chrome strip around the windows.

Absolute professionals the guys at Bayside.

Could not be happier.

Some interior pics coming in now.

Front and rear glass. Rear glass still has the same old sticker I put on as a young bloke.

Hotwires polished up.

Glad I stuck with Chamois

Credit to the Bayside guys.

Thanks Gerry. yep it is good. Bloody hard to get good bits for but.

Arm rests were a battle to get a good driver door, sun visors are the original ones and in very good nick.

I think they just recoloured them because they were faded.

Black would have been easier but have seen a few chamois interiors and basically could not

go past it. Really make the car colour pop as well. I have black in the GTR. One black is enough. Just got to keep the kids out

of this one with their black soled sneakers.

Wish is was mine Gerry. I unfortunately, like some of the more talented people

on here building cars, lack the space, artistic flare, skills and mostly time to do it myself.

This is the guys building my car place and you have to see it to believe it.

I walked into the new shop and was gob smacked at how good it looked.

very professional.

worth every cent.

Wheels back on.

awaiting the boot spoiler and dash. (dash original hopefully this week)

What are anyone's thoughts on the ride height of the front?

Do you think it will come down once it is driven a bit?

The only weight left to go in is the dash, centre console, seats and rear spoiler and exhaust system, plenum cowl

and wipers. (not a great deal)

Be interested to know how much do new springs settle after they are driven a bit

from anyone's experience.

In my experience, new springs take about 6 monnths to fully settle. Maybe the car was jacked up and the front suspension has not settled properly?  Otherwise I doubt the car will come down enough to keep you happy. I like about an inch between tyre and guard.

Great job mate the car looks a treat, love the colour.

I second the above comment.. If those front springs are seated correctly I think you'll definitely need a lower set, they wont settle all that much.

Hey Steve.
Without going through your whole thread right now, what front springs are you using?
I am using King lowered V8 springs (std height 6cylinder same part number) and mine is sitting about the same.
Like you I hope they settle at least 1/2 inch.
BTW you will be happy with Dash Original, worth the wait.
They have done my dash pad, door arm rests and custom fabric insert door trims.

Sorry guys went across the ditch for a few days.

Appreciate the comments. I think you are all right and it may

not come down to what I want.

I like your build pictures Michael. Good to see another PS torana.

I will find out what springs they used.

Yep can't wait until the dash comes in.

Any progress with those front springs Steve?
Great work as usual from Dash Original. Can't recommend them enough.

Thanks for the words or encouragement.

Michael I will ask the boys at Bayside on Monday about the

springs. I do remember him telling me what he was using but it has gone.

Was digging through all my old files today and found all my old rego papers from the day I bought her.

Not sure how much this interests people but it was interesting going through it.

Might not be the history of a desirable Torana. For me, more importantly, it is the history of my Torana.

The original owners book. Was thinking about using the same rego if it still existed and was available

My transfer papers 1986

First Rego 1987 $304

Rego 92 $217 (introduction of compulsory third party through insurance companies)

93, 94 ,95 ,96 (No more water based labels) remember them??

I can see the first brake test in 95.

My original glass still has the 1995 rego sticker on it.

I spent about 2 years over seas (China) after that but still got it registered.

1996 still has sticker in place. Anyone remember the colour from 1996??

Last year I registered her. Sticker still in place

After that I handed in the plates and it sat in my new houses garage

until about Easter 2011.

My kids had a ball in that thing in the garage. I would go in and there would be 4 or 5

4 - 6 year olds jumping from the back to the front. tearing shit off it.

I really wish I could track down some of my old photos.

Thanks to rob for pointing out that not a good idea have my address on here.

Lucky I am long removed from there.

Very good advice. cheers Rob.

Made me a bit paranoid so I edited them anyway.
