Most of the changes to LH happened around the start of HJ Holden production, i.e. September 1974. Any car with small rivets has the higher indicators and change in seat bolt holes.

What are the differences in seat bolt holes?

Im thinking rear seat belt mounting points? From the C pillar to the parcel tray?
Or possibly non-retractable to retractable in the fronts?
My car is Oct 75 and has the rear belts mounted to the C pillar.

Yes, the early LH manual has the rear belts attach to the C pillar.

Nah, the rear seat belts didn't go to the parcel tray until well into LX production. I am talking about the seat mounting points. I might just keep that one to myself for the moment.

Interesting. I wonder if that changed September 74 with the year model roll over?
Just a guess but I'd be fairly confident that the bonnet springs changed when bonnets went from double-skinned to single-skinned as the weight of the bonnet was reduced significantly and the early springs would've been too stiff.
So if my theory holds any water, double-skinned bonnets should have the early mustard-coloured springs and single-skinned bonnets should have the newer silver/gal/body-colour springs, regardless of the year model.

Good point Andrew. I have no idea when they changed over though.

Hey Andrew,
I just checked on a mates car, it is a one owner and unmolested and unrestored example. It has the double skin bonnet and the grey hinge springs.

Is there a way to discern an early bonnet spring from a late bonnet spring?
Do we know for sure that there's a difference?

8/74 car has ochre and 2 skins
Well the car I was referring to that had the grey springs was a 10/74. ... And Laurie mentioned earlier that a lot of changes happened in September.. So maybe that's when the spring colour changed. Anyway since mine is also a 10/74 I will probably paint them grey.
