I bought a pair of Range Rover lights off e-bay a while back. Stock H4. I've fitted them to the oringinal tubs and fit like factory, no mods.

These should do the trick http://cgi.ebay.com....e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I brought some of the crystal eye ones off Ebay and there crap,
No where near as good as my old faded refector cracked H4s.

H4 headlights with 55/100 watt globes. Who needs spotlights??? :spoton:

Disclaimer: The abovementioned H4 globes are illegal for public road use (apparently).

Cheers

I used new genuine Hella H4's, and really happy with them! (were about $50 - $60 each or so here from memory?) They even have the small globe for parkers in them as well.

They are pretty well flat on the front surface as well, not as curved as the normal sealed beam halogens are over here.

H.I.D stands for high intensity discharge, ie: 2nd generation Xenon headlights.

Dont know anyone running HID in a Torana but do know a few guys running them in fourbies, they seem pleased with them.

Fairly simple to wire in.

Cheers.

HID's in headlights must be auto leveling ... but not in spotlights.

I got some crystal headlights from eBay a couple of years ago.

I only found this out as we have just picked up a new challenger with HID headlights.
While you drive the lights continually adjust as the vehicles angle changes ... almost annoying.

AFAIK and unless it has changed, they are not roadworthy for an aftermarket fit - currently they are only acceptable on original fittment.

As ^, there are probably 100's of cars, 4wds - toyotas, mitsubishi, nissan,RR, commercials/truck that came with stock h4s, including kingswood hz series, anything that is oem, wont be rubbish, unlike some of the offerings for h4 replacement kits. worth trying a few wreckers,

I fiited Mitsubishi Pajero H4.

I drilled the back of the light (its metal) to where i wanted the park light.
This was done so i didn't have to modify the radiator support panel.
As alot of after market park lights dont clear the panel.

ok yes you are right they are actually illeagle on non oem cars as you need washers and self adjusting .

I take my statement back about the crystal eye lights, after turning the them up the other way as it was suggested to me before that i might have them upside down, that made no difference.

Its was the cheap ass globes that came with the lights that were the problem. they came with 55/100 blue globes, changed them for 80/100 phillips and its a world of difference
