Mate, I love this thing. A lot!!
I agree on the front spoiler thing, but it still looks better than an intercooler sticking out.
Very impressive build, still toying with the idea of a turbo jap 6 for the next project.

Well i thought i had fixed the leak, but even with the 2 gaskets on the lid it still leaked???
So i got a lid off an old mastercylinde i had there and hey presto no more leak.yea
Took the car down to the Gold Coast car show yesterday 22/4/12.
Didn't win any awards but found out what i need to detail more to get better point scores.

Well haven't put anything on here for a while so i thought i would let you all know how it went at it's firsdrag race at willowbank o the 23/6/12
When i did the burnout i heard a crack noise but all gauges said eveything was aok. So i didn't give it much out of the hole and bogged down, hence the 2.338 60 foot time. at about half track i noticed that the rpm didn't match the normal speed of the car.
@ 330feet was in 5.963 sec a bit slow for what the car has done on the street.
@1/8 was 8.945sec @82.18mph way slower then what the car has done.
crossed the line @ 101.17mph 13.69sec on 215/40/17 street tyres with slipping clutch. no too bad lots to improve on yet.
So back around and lined up again and turned the wick up on the boost to 10psi first stage as it runs a 2 step boost controller.
Left the line in the second atempt and become quite clear why in its first run it was slow.
Clutch was sliping.
Took it back to the pits to have a look and found that the left engine mount had broken hitting the turbo on the left rail, cracking the turbo houseing and splitting the oil return line, spilling oil all over the place.
Suppect that the oil has got on the clutch plate and fried it to death.
So car is home now. Will have to pull the motor and box out to seperate them to get the clutch out to replace it.
You win some you lose some.
At least it didn't drop the engine, thank god i run a big deep pan on the sump that holds 11lt of oil.

yer but it's stuffed now and slips big time. New one just arived thismorning so it will be fitted while i wait for the turbo to come back from VIC. Also i bought some new injectors from the states they should arive in a week or so.
After that all goes on and in it should have about 230kw at the wheels and then will need a tune big time to get the rest of it working right.
After all is done it will have an extra 70kw at the treads and about 150ponds of torque more and really go like a cut snake. i thought it was quick before. can't wait to have it all done and running right.

hot from slipping started at 3000 and went to 7500 rpm only for about 4 seconds but thats all it takes to rip it to sreds.
Here is some pics of the new one i just put it on yesterday.
Come with new flywheel, chromemolly lightern explosion proof aproved for drag raceing.
Clutch is a cushion brass buttern not as harsh as a full buttern clutch.
Presure plate has 2600psi claming force insted of std 1200 psi one

note that it is a pull type presure plate not push type like normal early holden.

I was asked about how i did the brake booster so i have a pic here for all to see.
Basicly i welded 2 booster brackets together and made a common shaft to transfer the stroke from one side to the other.
I welded the plates on the pivot on 3 out of the 4 to help stop twisting of the shaft and loss of stroke/presure to the booster.
I left the one closes to the driverside gard not welded tobe able to remove booster if needed.

Well after a few weeks of waitong and abt $2500 and my time. Engine is back in car and going again.
Took it for a drive this morning running only 11psi boost and wow what a differance the hi-flow turbo makes.
Lights the tyres in first and second ad hit 130 before you even know it. olid centre clutch shutters more then i was expecting but hey i will get use to that.
I also fitted 550cc injectors too so i can now get it dyno tuned and hopefully run a 10 second pass.
New turbo spools up at about 3000+ now so bit of lag there but i will get use to that no worries. Once it spools up it hits 7000rpm before u know it with a fair bit of wheel spin then change to 2ndand push the peddle to the floor and it dose the same for about 30 feet then grips up and pusses u back in the seat leke u just been hit by a sammi when parked.
WOW what a rush.

Well took the car for a drive tonight and all i can say is not much happens till you hit about 3500rpm then hold on to ya hat as it comes onto boost and pulls like a freight train all the way to 7000rpm then change to 2nd and it's on boost straight away. Wow what a rush can't wait for my tax to come back so i can get it tuned as it has a miss fire as it's overloading the injectors and dumping in way too much fuel.

Waiting to get it tuned.
When that is done it will help alot. Curently brakeing down at 4500rpm due to the factory ecu fluding it at 1.2 bar boost. 14psi i think. So looking at putting it in on the 31st of this month at efi Proformance. So tunned for the dyno readot when done.
Looking for 250rwkw+ around 335hp+ @ the treads

I was just curious about my brakes and decided to pull the front brake calipers off and rebuild them as they where the only part of the brake system that didn't get rebuilt or replaced with new parts when i did the car.
found a lot of shit in the front left one and it was fine other then that. so just a kit for that side. The drivers side was a whole differnt storie. Had to replace piston and retap the bleed nipple hole and put a kit in it aswell. Will have back on the car as soon as the brake pads arrive this week.
Once the brakes are back in hopefully before friday the car goes down to EFI Profamance at yatla to get the aftermarket chip in the ecu. Once this is done it will be dyno tuned and hopefully see some really good numbers.
