Got the front screen in today. Couldn't use the orignal rubber as the cage is to close to the lip. had to use a universal rubber, dam it. Had to put it in like a late model one and black out arround the edge the same as a late model one too. it dosen't look that bad, but will have to put a chrome pin strip on it to get it looking the same as a standard one.wont be able to put photo's up till Monday.pluss i can't touch it till Monday as the screen is held in place with tape to stop it from moveing and let the sealer to set.Might pull the brake line out in the morning and get a new one made as it must have a split in the end as it has a very small leak.

Bought a new wiper motor off evil bay so it should arrive next week aswell.

My spray painter is away for the next week and a half so will have to wait to get the rear 1/4 glass frames painted.

Now you can only just see the cage inside the car as everything apart from the seat incerts are black so it blends in.

Also if yo look hard enough you will see around the outside of the screen we blacked it out to hide the cage a bit more from the front.

Are those seats sitting flat? From the front on picture it looks like they're higher in middle than the outside

Hi all recived my new stainlees moulds for the tops of the doors and rear qrts yesterday and guess what!!! they don't bloody fit. Can anyone give me a measurment from the screw hole at the front of the rear one to where they meet the gutter at the rear.
I have attached a photo of what i'am talking about so you can all see.

Yep have exactly the same issue with mine also on my new project. Contacted Rare Spares and they told me it must be a problem with my gutter moulds!!!! Contacted again after speaking with panel beater to see if they were touched and he said they were original however they still didn't want to know about the issue. However in fairness since that time I spoke with Brad from GTR XU1 shop in Melbourne. He had an original untouched LC GTR XU1 in his shop at the time. He went and had a look at it and whilst I never saw a photo he said they overlapped by about 8mm. So maybe thats how some/ all of them were?? So I am just living with it. It annoys me because i know it is there but so far anyone who has had a look at the car hasn't noticed it until I pointed it out.

I got mine from aussie mucle cars in brisbane. I spoke to them on the phone and he measured a lc gtr their and it was exactly the same as mine. 678-80 from where they screw on at the front to the leading edge of the gutter. They too over laped by about the same amount. I might look at makeing a set out of the ones off a 4 door as i have some here and they have the correct radious and line up wth the gutter propley.

here's some pics of the grill for all to see, He did a fantastic job

in the car

from the front

have to take it back out and paint it gold in the centre now. not going to do the black as the chrome looks too good to paint over.

the left side, Still need to sand and buff the car as we haven't done it yet so it will look like a mirror when we do as it looks good now

grill looks good dave, are you going to re do the black parts on the outer headlight surround? i still reckon the intercooler would look better black, you will still be able to see it but it wont stand out as much. just my opinion though

Hi stinga. Nah man going to leave the grill all chrome and just paint the gold in the centre from side to side at this stage.
Painted the rear qrt windows yesterday arvo, they came up realy good.
The kick pannels arrived and fit perfectly. Just the front door cards to do in the interia now and a bit of a tidy up.
Been haveing problems with to much fuel presure, Going to move the return line from the engine from the surge tank to the fuel tank as i think its over presuriseing the surge tank and over running the injectors and flooding the engine.
