Without putting down the car or the owner, what do you think of 22's on a street driven Torana?

Too big? Or that's nice?

No offence to the owner, but no.

Drop that on it's guts with some wide 15's and it would look porn.

Nope, too-much. Don't like it. Too 'matchbox' car looking...

Set of 4x of the front wheels with some dish- Yes.

WAYYYYYY to big, looks like a big waste of money..

Reminds me of when Peter Grumsa put big wheels on his XR falcon (ford i know but WAS a cool car)

I agree with SLR V8 .. a set of 15's would be ample....

:spit: i just threw up in my mouth a bit . I cant stand anything bigger than the 16's that i have on mine , i am still getting used to it and if i could get the exact same wheels in 15's i'd probably do it.

They do look to big. I am another vote for 15's. Would look very very nice.

Is that photoshopped? It doesn't look real.
But it looks stupid anyway. I think 15-16 inch wheels look best.

The fronts and rears dont match... there the same rim but the front has no dish so it looks out of place.

But even so I think there too big... I wouldnt mind them in 17's and abit of dish front and back (2" front, 3" rear)

I tend to agree with this. The rims are matched, but the front looks odd with no dish.

Ewww....not for me personally at least.

Of course that said, I run 18" on my car and some people still like shopping trolley sized 14" stuff, so what the heck

I think 18" is the max size on such a small car as a Torana to not look "too big"...

HHMMM reminds me of a Massey Ferguson Tractor... I Honestly doubt any forum member will tell you "That's Nice" except of coarse if they're wanting to pull a plough with it......

Not a fan at all.

I don't like that style of wheel either.

Come to think of it, I don't like much of anything. Posted Image

I would had preferred to have 15" on my hatch but decided on 17" because tyre choice in 15" was limited at the time and I was worried that 15" tyres would go the same way as 13" and 14" tyres.

If I can find the right tyres in 15" I think I will get a set of 15" rims made.

i just saw this thread and was going to chime in with "i hoped this question was never going to be asked" because i thought the O.P. wanted to know if they could do it lol.

The car looks ridiculous and i can't take it seriously.

Not for me,but I reckon you could get away with it if you channelled it 4 or 5 inches and dropped it on its guts.

Ive never seen a channelled Torana......

G you are all tuff critics!

And no it is not photo shop. That is the real deal, i suppose we are all different and want to stand out in individual ways. I personally don't mind the big wheel only if the body has been modified to suit likeJohn's LH shown here... I think the reason for no dish on the pic in my first post is due to his brake choice.

It still looks wrong and the tyre profile is useless for traction.
